As along time fan of the series since 1942, Vietnam and BF2 I've become more and more excited to hear from you guys on reddit actually wading through the differing fan opinions to gauge a consensus. I'm also super happy that the premium model was dropped because that really split the player base of the last couple games. With attrition making its return, seeing some well designed looking maps and seeing how destruction/refortifying locations can help encourage defense I really believe some more strategic gameplay will make it's return. Tanks being stronger than BF3/BF4/BF1 and having a slower turn speed on their turrets while still allowing the player to look around quickly is a very modern approach to making them feel a bit more like they did in 1942. Hamada tank battles with the verticality on that map are definitely reminding me of El Alamein in a much improved way. I'm glad I don't see any meat-grinder map like Argonne or Operation Locker that used to sometimes make me decide to take a break earlier than planned haha. You guys take all the time you need to get the pacific maps and Wake Island etc. If those are handled well then the player base will stay playing this title for years.

You're in luck, chapter 5 is named Awakening the giant and it says they're going to add a new theater of war. Which all points at the Pacific Front being added in the fall. Also, the m1 Garand and more American weapons have been found in the files.

@@iluvrocknrap I admit. I've only played the V Beta, 4, 1, BC and BC2. Though when I played BC you rarely got a full server. I really felt sad that I wasn't able to play it in it's full glory, it was fun regardless and I got a solid 4 days of gameplay on that lol. And in regards to 3, I plan to play it as soon as my new PC gets up and running when my exams end. Shame is not permanent is it now?
