for the secret library you can acutely make it more secure by doing the first thing you did, but then instead of first placing a comparator you can place a lectern on the other side and put the book you wrote on it and take a copy of the book and place it on the other lectern on the side of the wall without the Redstone and boom! The secret doo opens.
