Yepppppp, iPhone 11 max pro here and the 12 and 13 now have no significant changes that make me go wow! This is the reason I’ve avoided Apple products for a long time, like there Apple Watch seems to be the same as the original and they say it’s just so innovative!

@@charlesmoore8877 to me, it’s the entire phone market. It’s the same shit year in and year out. Oh look, we made a better screen and we implemented better cameras! Big flipping whoop! The screen… I’ll give a pass on, But the cameras are just an extra gimmick for me. I don’t go around filming videos or taking breathtaking photos. I primarily use Snapchat to send dumb quick photos for Christ sake. There’s just nothing exciting about these phones. Nothing at all. I don’t care about the chip and how fast it is, I don’t care about the battery life. All of that is fine on my 11. The phone runs smooth, battery life is fine and it’s going on two years now.

Mmhmm I'm using a samsung j7 from like 2017. Basically once phones had everything I needed it to do I stopped caring about new phones. It's been 100s of dollars better spent elsewhere. ​@@chriswright8074 I'm already on Android (OnePlus 7T Pro) and I already have a 90Hz display, so going back to 60Hz wasn't an option for me, that's what I meant with my previous comment. regarding the price, my current phone was already close to that, I'd be fine paying a little bit extra but having updates and support for longer (also, I can finance the iPhone directly from Apple, but I don't have the same option for other phones). I understand that there are mid-range phones or low-end phones that have 90/120Hz screens but those lack other things I care about, so even now my only other option (according to my preferences, of course) would be a Pixel 6/6 Pro, but I really don't like the size and the design of those. as you said though, one can get a high-refresh rate screen on much cheaper phones, and if that's the only thing one cares about (so no ties to the Apple ecosystem or OS/specs/design preference for example) then the iPhone wouldn't be my first recommendation.

@@chriswright8074 mainly top of the line SoC, 120Hz screen, smaller size than what I have at the moment, I'd say around 6" would probably be fine, no 2.5d glass (it's beautiful to see, but in day to day use it's more prone to accidental touches and tempered glass screen protectors are cheaper and easier to install on flat screens), stock OS with as little bloatware as possible. everything else is pretty much a "nice to have" more than a requirement. at first the Pixel 6 (non pro) looked like a candidate, then Google came out with some specs and I hate that the regular 6 gets lesser hardware than the 6 Pro, and I'm not buying a 6.7" phone again (I'd rather get a lighter and more compact phone).

@Fuuma Kotaro they all “look” the same. Functionally, it’s only a small step above from what they released last year. So I understand why people wouldn’t upgrade if they have the 12. However, I’m upgrading from the XS, their 2018 phone. Which is BEFORE the 11 (like you pointed out). So this upgrade is justified enough for me

Sure having a 120hz screen may sacrifice some battery but in my opinion it’s 100% worth it, and we get better batteries on the newer phones to make up for it. No offense but I’m pretty sure your just mad that you didn’t hold off until the iPhone 13 🙃

Yea I have the Xs Max myself and honestly I dont see myself upgrading anytime soon. It still works like new and it does all the essentials that I need on a phone which is make calls, text message, listen to spotify and my casual browsing through social media apps.

I agree. At the end of the day, the decision of upgrading relies on your personal needs and situation, that's why the perfect iPhones varies from people to people. I personally believe that upgrading from iPhone X downwards is a great decision in most circumstances.

@@ESquadProductions my iphone 5s and 6s is bought second hand since i am not rich to begin with and i am a guy who kinda likes buying used stuff when it comes to some electronics, well depends on what device it is, for the most part a pc part or a phone works fine even if it's used, just pick one that has a good price and like new condition, and you save lot of money, i am a tech geek i really would like an iphone 13 pro as upgrade but then again that's just your desire itching again for new toys, sure you can have phone contract but for 2 years that's still a lot of money for just a phone

i hate this trend of removing expandable storage. it's just a way for companies who do it to promote their cloud services and make subscription money from power users while removing the SD slot which can also save them a few cents maybe per phone. it's the ultimate F.U to the consumer to not be able to decide how to store/transfer data and whether or not to have modular storage. i know people who have and use multiple SD cards sometimes and because of that they can keep older phones from quickly becoming e-waste, unlike Apple here who more or less forces you to stay at one constant amount of storage and unless you get the top end model your phone won't last very long, especially if you're a power user. companies are becoming more and more anti-consumer and people are just accepting it. at least Samsung still has some budget phones with SD card slots and i use one of them and am perfectly happy with it.

@@crisscrossam just in reference to storage and expandable storage, people aren’t just accepting that iPhones dont have expandable storage, most people don’t require that much storage on their phone, as you said power users might be carrying multiple sd cards around but that’s a small percentage of people using the phone, so just because a small minority wants and needs that sd slot doesn’t mean everyone else is just accepting it because they don’t need it and never needed it

@@PatrickThomasBrady true, but all i'm saying is that i'd rather have the option to and not add an SD card you know? I had an old phone once with just 32GB of internal storage and was almost full after a couple years. I got a 128GB SD card for it which was cheap on sale and that same phone lasted me another year at least before i had to buy a new one (the one i use now) with 128GB internal and the 128GB card, so this one will last even longer.
