Next up for Top Rank Boxing, Three-division world champion Naoya “Monster” Inoue (24-0, 21 KOs) will embark on his quest to conquer a fourth weight class as he challenges WBC/WBO junior featherweight world champion Stephen Fulton (21-0, 8 KOs) this Tuesday, July 25 at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan
In the 12-round co-feature, Cuban sensation Robeisy “El Tren” Ramirez (12-1, 7 KOs) will make the first defense of his WBO featherweight world title against Japanese contender Satoshi Shimizu (11-1, 10 KOs).
Fulton-Inoue, Ramirez-Shimizu and undercard fights will stream live and exclusively on ESPN+ in the U.S. starting at 4:30 a.m. ET/1:30 a.m. PT.

I am an American, I am rooting and clapping for Inoue because he never brags, he just gets in the ring and shows his amazing skills! Will be a good fight between Fulton and the Japanese monster. I don't thinks this fight will last 10 rounds.. Naoya learned to move in closer since his fight with Donaire While he punched thru his defenses! Love the Japanese monster and his amazing skills!! ✅🎯🎯✅

Just a wee sneak of a suspicion that Fulton may have had a harder time making weight than normal what with the traveling etc and his energy levels may drop off in the latter half of the fight. Got a feeling it might look a bit like Spence/Brook where Brook took an early lead over the first 6 (on most fan scorecards, not all), then folded in the later rounds to exhaustion from making weight combined with Spence's body work. One thing with Inoue is that he will make Fulton work every second of every round, and that might contribute to tiring him out. Its not like Figueroa who was more the Provodnikov type of attack which enabled Fulton to sit, cover and counter, Inoue is more cerebral and its not just the physical exhaustiion, its the mental| (like Limares when he folded to Loma, not so much physical as he was mentally exhausted at the time of the stoppage), not long now, but might be a tale of two halfs, first to Fulton, latter to Inoue with a possible stoppage as Fulton tires.

The rules meeting between Inoue and Fulton ended without incident. Fulton complained about Inoue's style of taping the bandage directly to the skin, but Inoue conceded that he would cover it with a piece of gauze first. Fulton's side agreed. Fulton has no more excuses for rapping if he loses.

Fulton and his camp making an issue about Inoues glove taping is an excuse. It's perfectly legal in Japan and also in some parts of the U.S. Las Vegas in particular. So yes it is an excuse and it makes him and his camp look weak.

Inoue`s weight cutting didn`t work in the first fight and he looked smaller than donaire. I think inoue only added 5 lbs. after the weigh in.

The battle between Naoya Inoue and Fulton was so funny! So much to compete with the Donaire game and 1.2. 90% of Japanese people highly praise Fulton's boxing technique, attacking style, flexibility to change fighting style for each round, and Fight IQ. Japan's past champions also praised Fulton as a great player. This fight made me a Fulton fan. Even if I go to the featherweight division, I will watch the fight. No matter what anyone says, Fulton was strong. Fans should be proud!

My friends, Mr. Fulton just gets hit too much to survive a fight with a fighter who hits this hard. He is a great boxer, but no way could he stand toe to toe with Monster. Power delta is just way too much. I would not be surprised at all to see a first or second round knockout.
