So posthumous means "in the time after burial", not "post being human". Thus, for a cat, the word is still posthumous.

old Mr. shovenko had problems of his own. he had a yeller cat that would mow down his own. so he picked up his sniper rifle that he owned. and gave the cat a 7.62x51 but the cat wouldn't give up he just couldn't stay away.
