‼️ Being single is addictive especially if you are in your 30s. I am 34 and 10 years single. I have office and childhood friends and I am the only single in the group, and the godmother of their kids😊. But since they have family I understand if they are not always available but it’s okay coz I love to do things for my self. I am in the time where I am also unbothered in the pressure of being married and it’s awesome. Embrace your life while you are single. Learn to find joy and peace being with yourself. You can manage your own time. I tried new things, I am master of third wheeling because I can go whenever I want if someone invites me, or you can slow it down. Walk in the park alone,feel the wind and eat whatever you want while sitting on a bench under a tree where no one is bothering you.

No, you're not left behind. There's plenty of single people either in their 20s, 30s, and maybe even in their 40s. You don't have to pressure yourself too much. It'll just happen naturally.

Haha.....every time I attend a wedding when I'm single, I never felt uncomfortable or even wondered about when it'll be my turn.....lol. Cos I was so enjoying my singlehood. I learnt quite early how to embrace and enjoy singlehood. I was determined not to miss out on experiences in life even if I didn't have a partner to share or enjoy it with.

em.... theres one thing that does annoy me being the only single among my friends. When we have a gathering of just us, this friend group. and they suddenly call their partner and I have to say hi... or they get engrossed talking to their partners instead.. or when their partner comes with them to hang out with the rest of the friend group unnnounced. I find that it annoys and turns me off from socializing for that day, no matter how much i try to be freindly. Like... I just wanna escape home. Just a recent realization. But it wasn't anyone's fault.

What’s wrong with being single??? In my opinion, it will be a huge problem if u aren’t able to make ends meet in life. So u don’t have to feel embarrassed!!! Life is short never let anyone pressure you. I am 33 yet still single. But I am happy with my life.

Just like Isaac mentioned previously, solitude is a dangerous thing for people like us who've been single for a long time. But the most important question here is are we content? Because if we are, whether we're single in our 20s, 30s, or 40s won't matter!

love this! im 26, never been in a rs and not interested in looking HAHAHAHHA. with rising living costs and potential problems in relationships/marriages nowadays, i've always felt that its better to stay single and make my loved ones and myself happy :) if the right one comes along, thanks i! guess! but if they don't, its ok gwenchana! the world wont end one. even so, i hope that everyone finds the love that they deserve

the reality is when you are the only single person in ur friend group, the rest of the married friends are too busy with their married lives or their kids to entertain you as often as before. so u really need to go and meet more people, and find things you enjoying doing (on ur own or with other friends). once ur friends are married, friends are often not their priority - it is their spouse and kids who has become their priority, and understandably so. but of cos i dont think all married friends behave this way, and the hope is for more married friends to continue to remember their single friends and dont make them feel left out! stop always talking about ur kids!!!!

Being single means you are taking charge of your own happiness and choices in life. Nothing is really bad in that sense. Being the only single among friends also means you get to do your things alone, go on solo trip etc. Don't think that makes a huge difference just that the meeting time between these friends get lesser and lesser due to their family commitments.

I think that's rather superficial to think that way. Sometimes we got to look things in a broader term perspective. Being single is not just about doing things alone or solo trips, its also about ending your bloodline. Its the survival of the fittest at the end of the day. Throughout history only 30%-40% male gets to procreate and extend their bloodline. The rest of the genes just died. They are the losers in a way. Have you ever meet a happy old single woman? I never seen a happy older single woman. Whenever there's a grumpy Karen, chances are that they are single. The happiest woman I know is my grandma, she has many kids and grand children. No gucci bags, LV or Prada or solo trips will make her happier than just her children and grandchildren. If she needs those bags, we can buy for her as well. I think in life we have to always look at the bigger picture. Maybe what I say doesn't resonate to you now but I am sure they will very soon.

Aiyoh.....30s only leh. People now say 40 is the new 30, and 30 is the new 20. Try being in my age group and still single.......lol. 14:28 Just a word of caution though. Do enjoy your present as much as you can, but unless you're absolutely 200% sure you want to remain single all your life, don't put off your dating plans for too long. Cos once you reach a certain age, both men and women, you may be looking but no one may be looking at you. Exceptions are the outliers. Don't use them as an example that it is possible. These would be your old but rich men with highly successful careers, or old but still looking good with hot bodies women. These two groups of people, regardless of their age, will have no shortage of suitors.

i was hanging with a bunch of girls and they all had boyfriends. I had broken up with mine and 1 event they didnt invite me and even created another group chat to plan a dates with all their boyfriends. I found out about it and asked 1 of the girls, she said that "because you're single and we didn't want you to feel bad". I was so hurt because they didn't even ask me how i feel first but instead did all these in secrecy.

17:30 Q, opposites may attract, but without a lot of effort from both parties, opposites also tend not to last. I'm speaking from experience, and I'm a very introverted man. Happy to share more about my experience if you want to know. Maybe can help you avoid the pitfalls if you ever date a quiet boy.

No the dating scene for men is horrible in KL. I'm not very attractive and not very tall so its a double KO for me especially when using dating apps. I've tried using better photos, filling out the prompts and putting a meaningful bio but receive very few likes. Personally, I've been using these apps for over a year now (even paid for Premium features on these apps) and not even close to securing a relationship. I've gone on first dates where the girl was late by an hour and still had the audacity to criticize my outfit as being too "bland". I've went on dates where it turned out to be scams or shilling for MLM companies like Usana and Amway. Entering my 30s now and it feels like I will never get into another relationship when everyone around me is either engaged, happily married and buying their first property together. Fuck I hate my life.

It’s not about the chase and attraction. It more about the self-maximising principle. The guys and girls are looking to date pretty and rich partners. There is nothing wrong with this. You can be poor as shit and looking like a shit and still be wanting to date attractive partnerships. After all, self-maximising is not a personality, it’s a universal trait.
