If Redmi adds NFC, fixes the audio, adds image stabilization on the front camera and allows for 4K/60 stabilized video on both the front and back camera, then the Redmi Note will become a very good phone. Maybe they'll do this for the Redmi Note 10 series, who knows.

For someone like me who has two "real" cameras, the premium for a high-end phone partly due to better camera is just not worth it, it just has to be "good enough" when I don't have a camera with me. This one is perfect in that regard. Personally, I'd be more interested to pay 50$ more for an Oled screen. I think the SOC is perfect for the price tag, 720g is really good.

Best example of using the macro lens! A lot of the other phone videos I've seen just call it useless and breeze right over it. Thanks for actually showing it off. Now I got a better understanding of its usefulness.

I've been using a note 9s 6gb/128gb...what a beast!!! Super fast, great pics!!! Call of Duty and Fornite runs like a charm. I paid $250. The battery is 10/10. Recommended.

Great review on the Note 9S. Those bugs you mentioned worry me a little bit. I hope the update fixed them so far. What's also worrying: Wifi! Some user complain about the connection or to be more precise, the stability of the connection.

I think that bug is present in every MIUI 11 Xiaomi devices, I encountered it a lot of times in my RedmiNote7 (maybe 5 times in its 8 months of existence) and there is one time I had to bring my unit to a technician to reflash my OS because I can't open my screen even if its still working fine underneath. So far I am still positive for the brand for what it is worth, premium build quality and superb hardware. There will be a gcam port for the 9s soon and it will surely unlock its potential, thanks for the review!

@@spanishsausage4731 Maybe it is. I use the Mi Mix 3 and I can't tell that my device has any bugs at all. Wifi, fingerprint sensor...everything works as fine as it was before the latest update. I just hope the Wifi and fingerprint bugs are truly fixed.

Folk often mix up close up with macro, a macro is a lens capable of reproduction ratios of at least 1:1, when a object is at the optimal range for accepted focus (often rather close), and macro have often little lens distortion. But whatever we call it, a option I often want on new cameras that have close up or macro is focus stepping so I later can do some image stacking. But that is something I never seen on a phone. And I often use my phone to log a GPS track to geotag my photos (Taken with a Canon), but I never seen any one do a GPS test on a phone to see how good they are and how long you can track with high quality.
