I love Bering's approach to savety, durability and comfort. Obviously Alexei is a multi-talented guy who knows what he is talking about.

Bering has come so far for such a young company. There growth is incredible, as there boats are. A Bering cat if made with the same attitude as there trawlers will make a huge splash in the cat world.

I like what i see. I'm thinking 4 cabins plus 1 crew and storeroom, enclosed flybridge but with full French doors aft and powered drop-down windows on the sides so apart from a fixed front screen, almost the entire thing can be opened up.

Such a wonderful man and his boat builds are so wise. Safety is the foundation of enjoyment and fun. Watching and feeling him speak about boat building has made me have safety briefing with my kids and their friends before we go out. It sets us up for great experiences when we go out on the water to play. When I first saw a Bering 70 on Aquaholic, I could not understand the big deal from Nick there. But now (in no small part due to the love and in depth discussions on your channel) I love Bering boats and build philosophy. Would definitely consider a Bering in the future. Flat floors is music to my ears being a full-time wheelchair user, the ability to use the swim platform as a lift from the dock to the main deck is huge. Could the swim platform be designed to have a section that can reach the upper deck and maybe even the flybridge? Having the freedom of the entire boat in a wheelchair would be, well as you say, a game changer!

I love Bering yachts, they are brilliant. This 60ft Cat looks amazing, it has the same Gross Tonnage as the Bering 72. Alexie and the team at Bering's are doing a great job, they are all stars.

A few years ago, even before you guys thought about buying a Bering explorer yacht, I threw that very question about Bering producing a power cat, based on the living area that cats offer over mono hulls and one of the members on the chat just said that cat wasn't compatible with the displacement philosophy of the Bering brand. I personally love the way Bearing yachts are built and the way they look, but I also love the way a power cat does for live-in spaces

A catamaran added to the Bering stable so it's a logical addition. 60 Cat is a good start being plus for the current weather in this video it'll be a good workout. Versatile is the name of the game here, family,charter and two people. With or without crew. Interesting.

I love to see Alexei in these videos with you guys. The look on his face when Rico says he built the catamaran designs out of spite and then mentioned the 80 was priceless, lol. As always, it’s terrifically obvious he enjoys doing this with you two. Alexei has such obvious confidence and passion in his description of the development of the new catamaran designs. I love how specific he emphasizes the adherence to safety and comfort which are the benchmarks of the Bering design intention. Now it’s time to figure out if it’s the 77 mono hull or the cat design in the near future. An explorer cat of the Bering pedigree?? Seems like an obvious choice now. 👍🏻😎👍🏻

For the charter market this is a great idea, it definitely fills a gap. We have seen the Lagoons 650, but the fun part is that the guests usually don't care at all about the sailing, they just like the comfort of a big boat and want to move from port to port. This Cat is the perfect alternative. So do I understand it correctly you will now sell your monohull and change to a catamaran ? 🤔🤔😀😀

Bering 60 Cat would be the perfect boat for the Great Barrier Reef. Shallow draft great for getting into all the different islands, reefs, lagoons and inlets. From the southern end of the GBR at Lady Elliot Island to the northern tip at Torres Strait is just over 1000 nm so the 3000 nm range would get you there and back again.

Since I saw a foto of what looked like a Bering Cat quite a while ago at their docks when launching a monohull, I've been looking for info on the possibility of a Bering Cat. Now I know why God has had me waiting from choosing aGRP cat .....'Cause the metal cat was coming with all the Bering quality. So excited 🎉🎉🎉

Yah, see now, that's actually taking a powercat back to the drawing board, not just tacking bigger motors into a sailboat. There's more flush-deck, all the mechanicals in a bottom deck under the cabins instead of woven in between and through everything else, and more modular symmetrical space utilization. I've been working on similar (but even more so) designs like this in the background myself. The main/public deck may seem at first to be a little high, but then it can also function as its own fly deck for visibility, and it's inherently better for security. Really, the fly deck on this design is a little redundant, but it's possible due to the catamaran stability, so sure have some icing on your cake :) Getting the cabins above the water line also means you don't have a bunch of sloping angled floors crawling up the foot-space all around you -- the walls in the cabin deck can be essentially vertical like a land building (especially if you can use network force distribution construction). You also get better beam (and as he said, better sightseeing views) in the cabin deck that way in general. Besides that, you lose almost no floor space to hallways other than the outdoor rails. At the 80-foot size, you could have enough beam in the pontoons to have elevators to the cabin levels (very hard to cram useful ones into something smaller, and I've tried), which would make it a wheelchair accessible superyacht as far as passengers were concerned. The center swim platform can be safetied to lift folks with chairs from dock level to main deck. Bonus: About all you'd have to do to get to a solar-electric design is shave off the flybridge and replace it with a full coverage panel array, switch the crane for a rear davit, swap in the electric motors, and replace the main fuel tanks with battery packs. It's just hanging there as a possibility, waiting to jump Bering into the green/unlimited/sustainability market. Thanks for a great preview! It was a lot of fun; and it was interesting to see that I'm not the only one yearning for a more flush-deck powercat design. I don't know if I will last long enough to get my version made, but this is a good trend in design.

As an international watcher would you mind including Metric measurements (even just in text in screen corner) so I can get a better understanding of the floor area without having to use online converters. CFD == Computational Fluid Dynamics Basically, it's a simulation of flowing things. It doesn't matter if its a gas or a liquid, it can be calculated to some degree of accuracy.
