2:52 , Highly Stable connection? My Avantree Dongle was horsecrap. I'm literally only 2-feet away from the dongle and I am getting crazy input lag and disconnects. Then after like a week it just stopped working. It took me forever to figure out how to fix it. All that time wasn't even worth it, it took me so long that im pretty sure I can't get a refund. GamingScan, I'm not blaming it on you, it's entirely Avantree's fault. If you read this comment then do yourself a favor and get the ASUS one.

Sorry this is really late but if you dokt know and are still wondering these should work but if your windows is outed (not like 8 or 10) then you would have to install the blutooth drivers yourself! So yes it works

Probably very late..like late..but for any new viewers...4.0 and 5.0 are just bluetooth versions....if your device uses bt 5.0..you can use it with a 4.0 dongle..bluetooth is backwards compatible...I would recommend getting a 5 0 dongle if you see one from a good brand..eg asus..but a generic 4.0 should work...and as the vid above said..let windows download the generic drivers caz they somewhat work beter..but if they fail you can always use the one's on the device manufacturer's website

Also so viel ich weiß, hat es eine Reichweite von 10 Metern, was eigentlich die Standard Reichweite für Bluetooth wäre. Also ja, der Asus Adapter funktioniert auch wenn du eine Reichweite von nur 5 Metern bräuchtest . Nur , falls da paar Gegenstände oder größere Objekte zwischen dem Adapter und dir sind , kann es sein, dass es manchmal etwas stockt. Ist aber ziemlich normal , nicht wirklich ein Problem. Translation : The Asus adapter has a Bluetooth range of 10 metres , so it's definitely functional if you only need 5m. (10 metres of Bluetooth range is actually the standard range so it's fully up to standard ) However , if you have bigger objects or anything that could block out the Bluetooth between your Bluetooth device and the adapter , it might bug a little bit. Which is pretty normal , it's not really a problem .

For the longest time i never cared about bluetooth for my laptop pc ...just used headphones with wire while listening to music and movies etc. Finally decided to get new pair of Sony hps after old ones ear pads started falling apart so opted for nice wireless bluetooth ones ....but when i went to pair it, didn't work. Laptops bluetooth was no longer available after Windows 10 update. Tried like crazy to fix the issue with device manager but kept hitting dead end when i know for fact i had bluetooth access in the past. So i gotta go get dongle now ? !

i find phone bluetooth antennas to blow these dongles out of the water. my iphone can stream to me headphones through walls into the yard. my pc...on the same headphones loses connection as soon as i go to another room

The Asus Bluetooth has too short range, for me the range is 1 meter. If a USB is connected beside or around then the range is less than 1 meter.

hopefully someone can help. Ive bought countless of these things so I can use my wireless keyboard. install drivers and get it setup, works perfectly. love the wireless look. couple days go by and boom, it stops working. says there's a driver error. i research and do everything, but nothing works. someone pls help this is beyond frustrating. I've tried EVERYTHING, uninstalling drivers and reinstalling, downloading these driver updating software that are annoying as hell. NOTHING WORKS.

ZEXMTE w/ CSR works fine with Win7 64 bit. and for $5. Now I wanna try 5.0 w/ MPOW but I need to find a way to remove the other 100% and start a fresh install on the next.I think Total Uninstall Pro should remove the software and some drivers idk I'm open to suggestions.

@Pandemic Special anything thats 5.0 should do the trick .. I got the avantree 5.0 one just for my ear buds .. haven't tried the xbox controller on it .. some games will see your controller as an xbox controller lol

@Pandemic Special you will have to make sure your bluetooth is "on" then click on add a bluetooth device and put the controller in pairing mode by holding the PS button and share button for about 5 seconds or until you see the light blinking.. then your controller should pop up and connect.

@@jorickearlbastian253 most of them are but some you need to download the drivers or use a driver disc. If yours needs a driver just go to the support page for your brand or just google the serial number + manufacturer + driver and it should show you a page for this.

yes but if it's xbox i'd get the official dongle. for any other controller you'll need one like this but i find them to be unreliable from more than a couple meters. id love a better one even for a higher price. these are cheap but pretty shite

Why would any dongle for PC come with a disk in this day and age? I haven't even had a disk drive in my computer for the last decade or so.. Besides, the drivers for a dongle would be small enough that it'd be easier/cheaper (and prob better on the environment) to put the drivers right on the dongle itself.

Артур Филиппов unfortunately the 5.0 version isn’t available outside of the US. Can’t find the ASUS 5.0 in any store in Canada.
