I miss the wooden ramps my father built. They were to stay in the garage when not in use but I had to put them outside for the house/garage to be worked on and never got to put them back in and they rotted away. Time flies when you become busy with life but I am still upset about not putting those nice ramps he built by hand and I'll never forgive myself.

I worked in many gas stations where jacking up a car onto floor jacks by hand was standard operating procedure, in one place we had 12 bays and only 2 floor lifts that were kept open for quick oil changes. The rest were all on floor jacks. Many of the older center post lifts don’t allow access to the central area under the car, which is where the mechanical parts of the car are located.
