I was fortunate enough to see John Lee Hooker at the Britt Festival in Jacksonville Oregon. He pulled up in a big white limousine, they rolled him out in a wheelchair and I’m thinking how is he gonna do this show? Soon as he opened His mouth to sing all worries were blown away. The man was incredible and he played for 95 minutes without stopping.. cherish memory for sure❤️☮️

Saw John Lee in about 1971?? Ozark Festival. Blew the crowd away. Just him, guitar, amp, chair on stage.

When I was in university I worked at an all-night gas station and at midnight the college radio station had a blues show that I listened to. One night they had a contest for two John Lee Hooker tickets for the 7th caller. I called in. 1st caller... I called in. 2nd caller... All the way until I was the seventh caller and won the tickets. This was way back before the Blues Brothers movie and white people didn't know who he was. So we show up at the concert venue and we were the only White people in the room! Great night.

Hooker, trazer outro símbolo, outro "glamour", para condimentar um pouco mais sua grande carreira, bom gosto a escolha do amigo Santana, fiquei sem palavras... e depois também na nº4, sua voz é-me familiar "que voz"!! Rei dos Blues, este álbum está bem rechiado, e muito bem "in deed", mestre, descanse em paz. ... sempre um prazer ouvir quem tem aquele "algo" especial.🕶🎸🎤
