Can I just point out that in this year, 2008, Jeremy Clarkson pitched a farm based show to the BBC. They refused it, didn't even listen to him. Today, mid 2021, Amazon has a mega hit show on their hands with Clarksons Farm. Buhu f-ing hu.

If you want dumb signs, at a church I used to go to the board or council or high table or whatever who operate the place decided that it might be a good idea to put signs up inside telling visitors where everything was. It took 3 years, several resignations and a team of professional mediators (yes, that is a thing) before they decided that they didn’t need signs after all.

For anyone not sure what the 'Pokemon Pikachu' reference bit was: Jeremy said 'punkah-wallah'. :-) It's a term from the jolly days of the British Raj in India. A 'punkah' is a traditional flat ceiling fan made from palm leaves, fixed in a frame, hinged at the top, and swung backwards and forwards by means of a string pulled by a bored house servant. A 'wallah' is anyone employed to do a particular job - you could have a garden-wallah, a ticket-wallah, a tea-wallah, a camera-wallah, or even a UKposts Comment-section editing-wallah. None of this has anything to do with Pokemon, other than it being another of Clarkson's desperate attempts to mess with your mind. He can be a bit of a pain-in-the-arse wallah.
