If you watch a video of the entire radio show they did, you find out that one of the times Hammond played the Jeremy Clarkson jingle over the top of the sports reporter was on purpose. The guy had just been a dick to James May and yelled at him for not knowing the rules of cricket and then tried to go back to his report just in time for Hammond to give him the world's most smug grin while saying "see, the thing you have to remember if you're gonna yell at me mates, is that I've got control of the buttons".. It was great.
