Why does Hollywood feel the need to ruin every single franchise it gets ahold of? They're going to ruin 'Monster Hunter'..they had a highly successful franchise, great story and a great basis for bringing that to the big screen. However, they did what they always do and completely re-write everything, because they truly believe that they know better than the actual creators and the fans. The "Sonic the Hedgehog" design is a fine example. The franchise was wildly successful and people LOVED his design. What did they do?? They completely change the design because they think that they know more than the creators and more about what the fans want, than what the fans knew they wanted. It's really simple, Hollywood. If there is a very successful franchise that you're planning on bringing to the big screen, or planning on remaking, then take what has already proven to be successful and bring it to life. You need to change everything about it or rewrite an already successful story. All they end up doing is destroying it. Another fantastic example of this is the remake of 'Mulan'. People loved 'Mulan' as it was originally and it was already VERY successful, but they decided to completely destroy everything that made it great. It was a fantastic story about a young woman overcoming obstacles by using her mind, skills, determination and wit. What do they do?? Oh, they give her magical powers and completely ruin everything that was great about the story. I wish Hollywood would crash and burn, so that it could he re-booted back to how it was in the days of actually playing to the audience and built-in fan bases. You know, back before they started listening to the Radical Leftists on Twitter and before they would change everything about a franchise to make a very tiny, but very loud minority, happy about the "direction" of the franchise. Back before they catered to people who AREN'T even going to pay money to watch the movie in the first place. They don't buy merchandise, they don't pay to watch the movie and they don't support the movies/games financially in any way. They just want to control things..STOP allowing this to happen.
