Lol, you can do it, just a little practice is all. Also, the video title is a little sneaky if you didn't notice, as a squad (pilot and gunner) we got 132 kills. 61 for the pilot, 71 for the gunner.

I bet that was fun. I played BF1942 and BF Vietnam but then didn't play again until BF1. Yeah, it's not in this video because we got a game without many aerial threats, but in a lot of matches, we can take down jets, transport, tanks, infantry, everything. Although a really good jet pilot is pretty hard to beat these days with all the buffs to the planes and nerfs to the helis.

People always say to use them for tank busting, which they are very good at. But I use them primarily because it increases your firepower against infantry

Yeah for sure. The rockets are actually pretty intuitive from medium range, which is where you should probably be using them from. They fly very fast and straight with no drop. So you just have to get used to the travel time. Aim very slightly underneath infantry for better splash damage and at the center of mass for veichles (because the rockets switch off coming out of different positions from the launch tubes, and so far I find it impossible to predict this. It really impacts accuracy at close range). Unfortunately Dice shadow nerfed all explosive splash damage since this video, so you have to be a little more precise than this nowadays. Is technically the same shots to kill, but the splash radius and damage drop off are noticably worse now. If you are struggling to aim the rockets, I suspect it's more about controlling the helicopter itself. I would advise switching to first person when you are about to fire, and instantly zoom in whenever you do so. Train yourself to always be zoomed in when in first person. Also, probably use around 60 helicopter sensitivity. I use around 67-70 depending on how I'm feeling. But that would probably be a bit fast if you are struggling to aim right now.

Also, use mouse and keyboard. It's way way way easier to aim in the heli's than controller.

Yeah they definitely were. At launch the helicopters were definitely way better than now, even with the ridiculous amount of bugs. But DICE decided to keep nerfing them time and time again, so here we are

Unfortunately it's just not worth it really a lot of the times. The attack helicopters are significantly under powered. I know it doesn't look like that in this clip, but this is under ideal circumstances. A large map with buildings as usable cover, very limited enemy air veichles, limited stingers, almost no liz missiles, and very few TORs. In a normal game, on most other maps, the attack helicopters are extremely difficult to do anything in. They have too little health and are far, far to slow I mean, come on. The transport heli is faster......there is no reason a huge transport heli should be faster than an attack helicopter. But that's just my rant lol

I play always as Liz. 3 C5 i blow up a Tank and then i can kill a Bird/Stealth with one shot with her missile. Whats the balance on this? If im out and there is more vehicles i can redeploy and im back after 5 sec with full reloaded. Is this fair? I dont think so.. And infantry players stil cry about how powerful the air vehicles..wow. i know to make a run like this you have to be very lucky..man today i was on Exposure with Nightbird and i didnt even get a single lock on warning. How lucky i was? I could play chill and the enemy doesnt care about me. But the next 10 match was all about hiding and tryharding cuz like 6 person literaly just focused me + Wildcat..total different game. Yes thats true, on full speed the Super Hind is really quick its faster than the Nightbird Everyone hate the Hourglass but as an air vehicle player this is the best map. You have free space, covers, good kiling spots. The all other map is about you spawn, move forward 5 second and you re already in the Wildcat range or anyone who lost in the map just look up and can shoot you immidiately. Maps like Flashpoint or Spearhead..joke as a heli/jet player

@@96tviktor haha, yes, everything you said is very true. Because air veichles are my favorite thing to do in 2042, hourglass is my favorite map lol. They need to nerf Liz in a way that doesn't allow super tight turns. They tried to, but they did it in such a stupid way that it was prata buff to Liz. Judging by your description of your feats, it has not been fixed yet. This is very unfortunate indeed

Did you check if your flight controls are inverted? You may or may not want them that way, just make sure it's on the one you want

Unfortunately there is not a whole lot you can do about that for controllers. The flight mechanics stay pretty wonky no matter what you do, at least in my experience.

To get a game like this, you really need a lot of luck. To find the right match, with the right enemy that barely goes after you, the right balance of teams, and the right map. But there are things you can do to do better generally. The biggest thing I would say is try to think ahead of time about what landscape cover you use.

I never played BF4 so I can't comment. But I will say that I wish the mechanics were better in this game, especially the clunky controls of the attack helis. Having said that, I still think they are fun to fly.

That's really cool. After that game, I was actually trying to find him to see if I could play with him again, but I was not able to even see his stat page. That was really cool to have 2 Apache's go crazy like that (I'm sure other people do better, but from my perspective, I think we all did quite well).

The TOR was in the game, we actually destroy one or two in the video. But people are much better with it now, we almost always die way before we can have a game like this these days unfortunately. So you are definitely right about that.

You have unlimited TOTAL ammo, but once you fire you have to wait until your ammo replenishes or the overheat goes down. You have a quick repair ability that will repair some damage, but for the rest you just have to wait until it automatically repairs, just like infantry health.

Most don't know how to use aa worth a shit sadly but the skyscraper maps are made for helis they just hide behind them it was the same in bf4

It definitely requires some teamwork and a lucky match where the enemy isn't targeting you non-stop (unless you are some kind of heli god, which my squadmate and I certainly are NOT lol). It's sort of a sneaky video title though in case you didn't notice, we only got 132 kills combined (61 for the pilot and 71 for the gunner), which is still a lot in my opinion. At least it's the most we've ever gotten, I'm sure there are people out there who get more in the attack heli.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. Recently they made the Attack Helis significantly worse, so I don't think I'll ever have a game remotely close to this one again unfortunately. Still, we'll always have this match as a personal best.

They only changed it for a small amount of maps. Only the really huge ones such as Hourglass and Breakaway.

@@rxdvnity6655 Yeah, true. I don't know if you play this game or not, but in 2042, the attack helicopters are way too slow. All of the other aircraft are way faster, even the giant transport helicopter. It is very difficult for the Apache to dodge missiles because of how slow it is compared to pretty much everything else in the game.

In clips and videos it looks Fay’s and agile but when you’re actually flying it, it’s slow and sucks to maneuver. A good pilot can make it look easy though

The attack helicopters are slow pigs in this game. They have terrible maneuverability.

Not really any more unfortunately. Since this video, there has been a shadow nerf to all explosive damage, which makes it harder to get this many kills.

They recently increased it significantly, but it's velocity is way down making it way worse against air vehicles. Actually means the change is kind of a nerf to the Heli which needed that gun to defend against jets, even if it is much stronger against infantry now

I actually don't remember killing a single bot this round, I don't think there were any in the game (unless you mean the enemy team was just bad, which is true lol) Though if you have a timestamp, I would like to see it, even though it will bum me out if true. However I don't think it is true.

I would say having like a top 0.1% game is pretty impressive, but that's just me.
