I'm 68 yo and remember him from SNL and a few of his movies. IMO, his best movie was 'Planes, Trains and Automobiles' with John Candy.

His movie "L.A. Story" is in my top 5 all-time favorite movies. It's got a real magical feel to it and is just an all around nice story.
