Anybody else getting shivers? This sound is so delicate that it is hard to feel negative when it's playing. The textures of this sound is indescribable but the feeling is amazing. It is much like kissing someone you love slowly and passionately on a rainy day. Where the heat of their lips and hands puts you at ease from the tension of feeling the cold. Mooi. Also, the lady's neck in the picture is as delicate as this sound.

I thought that lo-fi music doesn't really strive for perfection anyway. I think it would be good practice to sample from the best, most ethereal, sublime, and make it into study music.

@billbusby23573 роки тому
Not that it matters but... around 31:50 ? That's 'Milestones', not 'Impressions'. Sorry for the loss of your grandpa. My dad passed in '77 when he was 47. He taught me how to listen. He was a big Brubeck fan, Duke & Lester Young among a few others. There were no Bill Evans LP's around. If only he & I could have a day together and listen to some Bill Evans together, he would go nuts! There's a ton of other players I'd like him to hear where he would think I'd gone insane... like force him to let me teach him how to listen to Eric Dolphy or someone. :D Ok, ramble over. Stay safe!

Ever since I found out Bill Evans wrote Blue In Green, not Miles, as a teen back in the 90’s, I started listening to this album and Moon Beams. Both albums are brilliant, but Waltz For Debbie, especially around Christmas time, man that’s a special album.

Sweet magic. Good for including whisper, noise by audience
The great classical pianist Arthur Rubenstein played as if his fingers barely touched the keys. Bill Evans touch equals the great maestro. No piano player in jazz can come close to his ballads: only another tragedy of those superb players lost to us. Lucky, everybody, we have the delight to still hear him.
