Feeling bad for her isn’t necessarily asked for. Some people, if they were to choose, would keep their Tourette’s. You don’t grow and become your own person if you don’t have your individual struggles. A lot of people couldn’t be themselves, without it. So try not to feel bad. It can get in the way, but it does not hurt her. If anything, it actually helps her individually. Other people with this condition are not as fortunate. But that doesn’t mean their lives are miserable because of this 1 thing, yknow?

I used to have pretty bad ones as a child but the biggest ones like this didn’t appear all the time, but when they would it would happen all day for a few days, until I chilled out and it would back to just being me screwing up my nails and fingers, wich no would notice.

If somebody isn't bleeding out, but still dying? the body, over time, stops digesting or secreting saliva to break down food. So of course what do they ask for? You guessed it, that high quality H2O. But you should only have them sip or wet their mouth with it. At least that's what I was taught in class haha more of a comfort relief than a remedy.

It's pretty common but people tend to hide it cuz it was "shameful." My son has it but a mild form of it.

As soon as the press picks up on something they blast us with it. During the johnny Amber trial, everything they have ever done was shows on every TV channel and UKposts. Now Billie and her taurettes are everywhere. I've known about it my whole life but people usually hide it and wouldn't be on tv etc with it. We are in a phase where we're encouraging people to not be embarrassed about being themselves and to talk about disabilities/mental health and anything that makes you different.

I have the same exact tic where she moves her head to the side and opens her eyes wide. It’s my main tic. When I get stuck (doing it over and over and can’t stop) it hurts. It pulls my eye muscles so hard and the side of my neck I’m bending starts feeling like something is going to pop. It’s so uncomfortable. Luckily I only get “stuck” like once a week on average.
