I want you all to step into my shoes for a minute. Imagine yourself as a huge Billie Eilish fan (I’m sure that part is easy if you’re reading this). You’ve heard when we all fall asleep where do we go probably 100+ times. One of your favorite songs of all time is ilomilo. That was my initial intro to her and I backtracked to don’t smile at me which I’ve also listened to plenty of times, as well as standalone tracks like Lovely and No Time to Die. Spotify in 2020 says I’m in the top 1% of all listeners of Billie Eilish. 2021 rolls around and I listen to happier than ever obsessively. Such an incredible album. Now imagine all of this time as what you can see I’m a pretty fairly obsessed fanboy that I have NEVER HEARD THIS SONG. What?! I was just shuffling all Billie Eilish music when I went to bed and woke up in the middle of the night and this song is playing. I had NEVER HEARD IT and even Shazam’d it thinking, in my half asleep stupor, is this a different artist? Baffling, cause I’ve seen -so many- videos of her live performances yet somehow never encountered this song. What a haunting, chilling song. I feel ashamed a little that this somehow passed me by. Saw someone complaining about autotune? OKay so Billie doesn't use it, the point of this song was saying she was under water, or drowning. So autotune was used to make her sound like she was underwater, just to clarify ^^. (Also please don't start a war in the replies.)
