Here is something to help with your shield so get an anvil (only works if your shield is damaged) then a wood plank. Put the shield in the first slot in the anvil and the wood in the second and you will have a fully fixed shield.

for those who may ask I know how this mod works Basically he created each individual mob statue before and made it so that if you throw a brain pearl it teleports you to that statue. So the brain pearl is just a renamed ender pearl

I think the mod probably just tps him into somewhere else in the world where the giant mobs were built. In the bee body you could see chunks that were normal overworld mountains.
