What is fake is the totally arbitrary scale we use to measure it based on totally random and variable things like the earth’s rotation and the orbits of the moon around the earth and the earth around the sun. Have you ever wondered about leap years? Daylight savings time? The age of consent? Why aren’t months all an equal number of days? Why is a week seven days? Why are there four seasons and not ten or eleven? It’s all totally random! Einstein proved it!

Yeah, but I can't imagine they're widely used, or deployed over any great distance. There's also pretty successful research into using live beetles with cameras and wires in their nervous systems to control their flight. But they're unreliable and super expensive, probably only used for very specific high value surveillance. Very little reason to send expensive and high risk toys out to watch normal citizens who happily broadcast everything they do through their phones already.

Big waste of time, but maybe there is more to it? Like for us to automatically assume that a "conspirationist" believes in flat heart, and spying birds. One time I was in Canada, I was visiting my family there on vacation. We were all camping in the woods, this was around 7am in the morning. We were all sleeping until I woke up and I heard 'birds' chirping. But it sounded odd. Like it was malfunctioning because it kept repeating itself without stopping, like the noise of the bird was glitching. It freaked me out. The bird was malfunctioning for 8 minutes straight. My mom woke up and heard it too. She said it was pretty weird.. That's when I discovered this video, Birds aren't real.

Sooo refreshing to see everyone hasn't lost their entire mind. There are some people who actually believe that believing in conspiracy theories makes them smarter than everyone else. A healthy (substantiated) skepticism is part of living in a world with other humans since interests don't always align, but never being able to take anything or anyone as they are presented is a prison.

I feel a particular connection with the students and families of both the Stoneman Douglas and Newtown mass shootings, as I was a student at Virginia Tech on 4/16/07, but I at least never had to go through being called a crisis actor, or suffer personal threats and attacks from conspiracy theorists. The "Birds aren't Real" movement is such perfect satire for what's going on in our country and I'm a definitely a believer.

I am 55, I never remembered seeing a 'bird' until I was 2 my yrs old. My theory was that they were introduced in 1968 (when I was 2). Prior to this I never saw 'birds'. My parents tell me birds existed but not sure because I am not sure my own parents even existed prior to my birth. I can only take their word for it.

Honestly, I am quite happy that the Birds Aren't Real people are here. They aren't hurting anything or anyone, the founder uses the movement as a way to deal with his trauma, it's satire and it truly exemplifies what I always say...'it takes all types to make a village.' I don't believe birds are drones but I have my serious suspicions about seagulls, male peacocks and mockingbirds. Especially mockers. Anything that sits outside your bedroom window all night and sings car alarm songs has an alternate agenda.
