While it’s a good speech, talking about the tournament of power kinda ruins it a little if you think about it. Sure Goku did cause a multiversal conflict but that was necessary for the protection of the multiverse. Without it many universes would cease to exist.

Sometimes trying to fix something repeatedly is you end up making it worse in the end, just like a bad marriage or fixing a broken chair, it’s never the same after. Black is pointing out how goku has abused his power ro manipulate people into thinking he’s doing good deeds because he’s saving people and considering that he’s actually also hurting others in the process, this is why shows like the boys came out, to show how the hero is not always really the hero.

Dragonball's owners made an unfortunate decision after Battle of Gods was much more popular than expected. Rather than putting in the effort to update the series for an audience that had grown older, they decided to assume that audience would stick around no matter what and appeal mainly to children who have never seen dragonball. It's why they feel safe repeating the cell saga beat for beat. They don't respect you or their audience. They are dangling dragonball themed keys in front of our faces and saying "Look at the shiny! You like the shiny right? Give us money and we'll keep jingling the shiny~"

Yup, great example they made Goku of DBS stupid as a rock. In the multiverse tournament, Goku of Z would say: Yes I take full responsibility of recklessness, truly sorry. I’ll set things right by winning the tournament and I will fix everything. Goku of super: let’s fight fight fight!!!

Sadly they are only motivated of prolonging the series and making money off merch and stuff. They know if they introduce any kind of character development, the series will end. So everything is just the same old Goku fight fight fight.

Not only that but we already had an evil Goku. Turles from the tree of might. Just bring him back and have him fk it up, a version that succeeded in eating numerous fruits and was high level in base form. That leaves for an unbelievable story and it was already written that way anyway because of the movie. The guy even has iconic lines "You singe my fingernails". Missed opportunities left and right in the series.

Future gohan never met cell. His timelines earth was taken over by 17 and 18 and cell never showed up, at least not until after trunks came back and had already destroyed that timelines 17 and 18 and then trunks killed cell. By that time gohan had been dead for quite awhile.

Goku black’s ideology seems to have a misleading reflection on how goku caused a universal conflict just for the benefits of getting stronger; which is why xeno vegito showed up in a what if timeline. But Black’s ideology is wrong and corrupted, as gohan or trunks had nothing else to rely on to get out of that situation BUT the time machine, mind you that piccolo died by the hands of the androids aswell after that battle. So no piccolo = no kami = no dragon balls = no hope, which is why trunk’s time machine has the name “HOPE” on it. Because it was the only hope he could rely on.
