Black Widow (2021) is finally here, with a surprising post-credit scene that ties in with The Falcon and the Winter Solider, Hawkeye, and Marvel's plans for a Thunderbolts initiative. With a cameo from Julia Louis Dreyfus as VAL, Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, last seen recruiting John Walker US Agent, and now giving Yelena Belova the assigned target of Hawkeye Clint Barton. Erik Voss explains all the implications of this scene -- where Val came from, how she knows the events of Avengers Endgame, how her Thunderbolts plan could involve Abomination in Shang-Chi, and more.

I enjoyed it , but then I'm a mature movie fan who doesn't care about comics or feel threatened by films with strong female leads or directed by women. All I want is a decent story which sets up some great action setpieces which BW delivered.

Regarding Dark Avengers / Thunderbolts, there is also General "Thunderbolt" Ross himself, so possibley Red Hulk. The triple bipass line might be a clue that he's looking for ... a serum ... to "fix" himself.

My hope is a similar arc to Sylvie in "Loki", where Yelena is gunning for Clint at the start of the Hawkwye series but moves to being close to Clint once they have a big mid-series showdown/heartbreaking confrontation where both Yelena and Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop see just how broken Clint is over losing his BFF. Though they're going to have to explain how Clint and Yelena have never met, since either one of them created that gravesite...and I'd lay odds it's Clint.

I'm still pissed that Natasha didnt get the same send off that Tony did. Also,Endgame missed an opportunity to at least showcase the Widows and Red Guardian(I want to see David Harbour in his own prequel AND sequel to BW now) during the final battle vs Thanos before this movie came out. Otherwise I still enjoyed this movie for the acting and then most of the action.

As someone who didn’t know of Taskmaster before the movie, I was ok with the reveal and it didn’t hinder the entire movie like it did for some fans of the comics. The film’s shortcomings and highlights had little to do with that character and as far as action scenes go, they were better than what I’ve seen of other MCU villains.

I really liked this movie. I was kind of worried because I know some critics didn’t think it was as good as it could have been, or that it was a movie out of time, or that it was only setting up the future but I was kind of blown away with the lower expectations that I had.

I'll be honest... it's a good movie, recommend you to watch.... but it would have been better if it was actually release after civil war... beacuse knowing that Natasha would be ok and would join cap eventually in infinity war kinda killed the thrill of the action sequences... but other that that, it was a decent watch...

I remember seeing Florence's name on the Wikipedia page of Hawkeye (the Disney + series) like last year. First thought she's gonna be helping Clint and Kate from whosever hunting them (since the series is most likely based from Matt Fraction's 2013 Hawkeye run where the Mafia and the Yakuza are hunting them down) but then it got a lot more interesting when the one who's hunting the duo now are Yelena and probably the other Widows Definitely would want to see a heart to heart character beat between Yelena and Clint. With Clint dealing with his guilt and Yelena facing the hard truth
