Yeah never watch a trailer more than 50% nowadays. Instead of teasing the film, these dumb mfs just give you a summary to get the tiktok and Ipad kids attention.

They have to market stuff to the lowest common denominator of audience member. The people who have minimal attention spans and ability to think critically. They are the ones that will buy the ticket, spend half the movie doom scrolling and the other half talking to the people they came in with. But they will still buy the ticket, so the studio gets the money and the dummies get to sit and rest in a dark room for a few hours.

It feels like nowadays movie trailers are more focused on revealing everything, almost like gameplay trailers. Remember when trailers used to build anticipation? It's like they're giving away the whole plot in a couple of minutes. I miss the days when trailers left you intrigued and excited, without spoiling everything. Though we'll see how the movie turns out, hope for the best, looks like a knives out or similar to "murder mystery" 1 and 2.
