I only had a shitty player. Could never record from the radio because it sounded crappy. Now as a mature person i bought a Sony pro cassette recorder from Ebay and repaired it myself ( born in the 80s!). Fills my nostalgia but its actual use is half of zero.

My parents weren't eastern European but were around a lot of people who were so they wanted to give me a popular name from that part of the world. It was a toss up between Sophia, Xenia, or Natalia. The latter won but they decided to spell it Natalja. Still, everyone called me Natalie or Natasha (little Natalja in Russian). Got tired of spelling and pronouncing it for people so I ran with the Russian diminutive. My middle name is Maria however. I have a first and middle name that are popular in eastern European and Latin cultures.
