Descriptors are generally used to give the access over the other device's characteristics or notify you about the characteristics change on the other device

Hi, This is a nice tutorial series. I have a doubt regarding my implementation. Is it any option to separate the notify message and response message under public void onCharacteristicChanged(BluetoothGatt gatt, BluetoothGattCharacteristic characteristic) method?

GATT Descriptor A defined attribute that describes the characteristic that it’s attached to, e.g. the Client Characteristic Configuration descriptor shows if the central is currently subscribed to a characteristic’s value change.

I dont understand a thing but sounds so promising for such a new technology! maybe one day we will be able to use it to take control over any electronic device all over the world by just oneclicking in our phone! imagine, that... thats why im still loving my xiaomi mi 6 with irda with remote tv app

why is the peripheral the server and the central the client? That sounds backwards.

That's not backward. Think of peripheral as a fitness tracker, and central as a mobile device. Fitness Tracker sends ("serves") the data to the Mobile device ("client").
