Could you please type out the exact make model and size of tire that fit those rims? I know you said at the video but I can’t hear well.
@HighSierraMountainScapes2 місяці тому
Sure thing! They are "Toyo M-55"

@HighSierraMountainScapes2 місяці тому
@@richscott2952 I think the muskox would be a great choice for you. We love ours so far! Its amazing for back-dragging driveways.

I took your advice and just ordered the muskox on their early order program so I will have it by October 2024 I’m going to get your tires and the studs. Thanks for your help.

This awesome. I’m struggling to figure out exactly what I need for removing snow with my particular set of circumstances and your information is helping me to borrow down on some choices. Thanks for doing this video

The listed weight of the Toolcat is 5680lbs - more than many pickup trucks. Do you use yours to mow lawns? Have you gotten it stuck or buried the wheels?
@HighSierraMountainScapesМісяць тому
I have only used it to mow fields or brush. They make "turf" tires for the machines as well. I have never tried them yet. Bobcat advertises mowing turf or larger lawn areas with it. They even make a finish mower attachment. I've definitely gotten it stuck and buried the wheels. Only in the winter though. Sometimes you get off the road into some soft mud with 2 feet or fresh snow and you ain't going anywhere.

Is the interior cab any bigger? Last Toolcat I was in the driver and passenger seating was cramped. And when wearing winter clothing, it was tight.
@HighSierraMountainScapes2 місяці тому
Nope. Same size. It is a little tight if you're wearing a big jacket, but its too warm in the cab to have one on anyway. 😂

What size are those tires? I need to replace the tires on my toolcat and I"m having a hard time finding a good replacement for the standard bobcat V lug tires.

7 x15 10 ply is what Bobcat sells part number 7425593

They are 235/75 R15.

What kind of salt and sand spreader do you run on the back?
@HighSierraMountainScapes2 місяці тому
We have a Bobcat brand spreader, but we don't use it very much. If I need to salt an area (sidewalks or parking spaces) I find that using a walkbehind spreader is easiest only because we aren't throwing that much down.

Have you noticed any performance changes between the two?
@HighSierraMountainScapes2 місяці тому
I wouldn't say I have noticed anything drastic, but the new UW56 seems to operate smoother. The shifting from drive to reverse is a lot better. Power seems to be very similar, but I've only had the opportunity to use the UW56 for blowing snow.

3:04 you say this like you truly don't know what it is. it is not the pre filter that is the attachment on top that can go on any external air intake (IMO Sy-Klone it better then the old bowl type especially in really dusty environment's no need to empty them). now that pipe its a from of external air intake there are different types, 2 of the biggest and are almost the same as each other and this gets lots of people into trouble 1 - is a raised air intake its job it to get the air intake above low hanging dust mainly kicked up by the wheels 2- is a snorkel it does the job of a raised air intake and is also properly sealed for water crossings seen far to many people buy something with an OEM external air intake and mistaken it for a snorkel when its an ordinary raised air intake and ingested water when doing a crossing.

I do love the toolcat, but for commercial use it doesn't stand up to the abuse. Door handles broken all the time. Mirrors broke in the first year. Climate control knob broken. Hydraulic connection hose bracket always loose. Would also like to see the salt spreader hopper re-engineered. Otherwise it truly is a great machine for a one person, responsible operator user.
@HighSierraMountainScapesМісяць тому
Oh man, that's a bummer. I can't say we have had the same problems except for the hydraulic hose bracket coming loose... I rip my mirrors back and forth all the time on branches doing snow removal too and haven't had a problem with them yet. Definitely need to have a responsible operator in any machine. My guys know I'm pretty up tight when it comes to taking care of our equipment so they tend to do a good job. For the ground speed, visibility, price point, and capabilities I haven't found a better machine yet.
