Hell yeah! Thanks for the shout. You guys are exactly right, I discovered Deadline back in 1993 (my freshman year of art school) and it completely changed the whole game for me. And I ain't been right since!

That was awesome. I love Jamie Hewlett's Deadline work and I think Evan Dorkin and Jim Mahfood were the only US artists I saw with a similar vibe. Thanks so much for putting this together.

Thanks for the in depth look. I would buy this collection SO fast! My intro to Jamie’s art was a really strange story in 2000AD called Hewligan’s Haircut (with Peter Milligan.... get it: Hewlitt+Milligan=Hewligan)

I read Hewligans hair cut when 2000ad were doing a run of special collected edition monthly's. I was not that excited about it when i Picked it up, but i was buying all of the series to fill in the gaps of runs I had missed in the weekly over the years. when I got it home and read it I was completly blown away. I particulary remember the random collage parts and a section where a few Pages devolved into cubism. Genius stuff!!! When demon days came out Iloved how he borrowed the look of the female lead and used it to evolve his design for Noodle.

Get The Freebies!? Started out as a serialized strip in British lifestyle magazine The FACE, became a short lived BBCtv show, got collated and translated into Spanish; iA Por Los Freebies! 13 years ago. It's goofy and a **little** unevenly plotted but as you would expect of anything created by Mr. Hewlett, looks amazing.

If you liked this you should track down Jamie Hewlett’s ‘Meet the Freebies’ strip that ran in The Face magazine. To my knowledge it’s only ever been collected in a Spanish-language edition for some strange reason? It was used as the basis for a proposed TV series that shamefully didn’t get past the pilot stage. It’s also excellent
