That's why in my country (Germany), balding women can receive free or cheap wigs or hair-density boosting treatments while men just... don't. I, myself, always admired and felt happiest when I had long, healthy, flowing hair. That's what made me a happy guy in my early 20s. Alas, when my mid-20s rolled around, I started to lose both density and quality of hair. I tried Minoxidil and it helped for a while but in the end, I had to cut it all off to avoid looking like a homeless person in the foreseeable future. That was three years ago. I've come to tolerate my new state of being but if I could have my old healthy hair back, I'd take it in a heartbeat.
