I did the Brainstorm online course. For me it's a MUST for clinicians, teacher and PARENTS! Thanks Dr. Siegel

Wow! Dr. Siegel is good at explaining very complicated stuff. I'm so glad I stumbled on this video, after having searched for something like this for a very long time. Thanks God he's not boring to listen to, because it really matters how you present scientific material, so all of us can understand our brain better.

Is there a term or a process for the entire matrix of reality being torn down for a young teen, and how that alters development and identity formation?

The parts about building a strong sense of self-awareness and seeking fulfillment through acts of service is pretty good. The rest about anti-competitive learning sounds like wisdom that came from someone who never worked for anyone. It's also patently false that one's academic pedigree has no bearing on that individual's professional trajectory. Top law firms or global banks do not hire DeVey graduates.

Maybe the right over heart is more due to the early practices like the pledge of allegiance? Just a thought

I don't know if you noticed this, but the part where you talked about unhealthy competition, that's capitalism. The part where you mentioned competing to solve our big problems. That is communism. Do you think we can really successfully implement these in a society built on competing and stomping on others to get ahead? Capitalism requires that for it to exist.

And then there is no such thing as independence since everyone is in a prison world and I just have felt like I am not really safe and can’t trust everyone and I just prefer self defence rather than depending on police or medical care or fire services and airport security all because I just don’t feel safe around people who treat the world like a massive jail because it is way too safe for my comfort. I do prefer to live a dangerous world because it can get boring at times.
