Let me say this. I read this in English class of course but it took me about two days to understand that passage. (It’s embarrassing but true) Spanish is my first language and with him reading it that one time, it hit me. I understood it with just hearing him read it once! (I think that means I need Pedro to read for me) Can we start like a petition to get this guy to read night time stories for Calm or something?

Also, by the time "¡Ved como su mejilla está en su mano!" (See how she leans her cheek upon her hand) comes around, and that _swallow,_ *I was **_NOT. READY._** for the next two lines!* Holy SHIT. this is _good._ There's something about Shakespeare when you separate it a degree or two, that just makes it read so much more understandable or fresher. As an audience member, you're already doing the work of consciously bring context to the performance with the changes, so you bring even MORE empathy and context than you normally would to something so route as one of Shakespeare's most famous monologues ever, which makes you *connect even more.*

I don't particularly care for Shakespeare, and I didn't think I'd care about this very much, but when he started with "Silencio" my heart skipped a beat. I was not expecting that. I liked this read. Usually when I hear Shakespeare monologs, I feel like the actors do it in a dramatic way, which I don't really care for, but his version seemed very gentle and authentic.

I will listen to every work of Shakespeare in Spanish if it is done by Pedro Pascal. Beautiful. Simply beautiful.
