I had the chance to speak with Byron Allen, briefly, on a phone call shortly before I graduated college. My mom worked for American Express in Los Aneles and had done some business with him, so she set it all up. He was fantastic. Definitely helped me get my mind right at a young age and set myself up properly. Great guy. He's also totally correct - from a business perspective, $300m is not a lot of money when a single film can cost anywhere between $100-150m to stand up. Money is out there, it's just not flowing into the hands of everyone, everywhere.

@GINA L Sista we have to be able to discern between a Clarence Thomas with a white wife and a Byron Allen with a white wife. Fredrick Douglas 2nd wife was white, Frantz Fanon married a white woman, and both these brothers made significant contributions to the cause. Barack had a Black wife, and in some ways he set us back. Sista I hear what you're trying to say, but I respectfully disagree, because for every Quincy Jones there is a Harry Belefonte.

If one more person come up in here talking about "but, he married a white woman!" It's not this man's responsibility to propagate an entire race. And I am sure him choosing to marry someone outside his race won't kill off an entire race of people. I am also pretty sure it doesn't change the fact that he is and will forever be BLACK. And I damn sure know it doesn't change the fact him fighting for inclusion for minorities in a multibillion-dollar corporate structure could never be something to trivialize. But, leave it to black people to find that one aspect of a persons being that doesn't suit their ideal and that somehow in their minds either diminishes or invalidates everything that person stands for. Black people can sometimes be black people's biggest problem.

I'd never heard of him before and was listening whilst working. I had to stop and watch as he is so articulate and is a real genuine person. What an amazing man and his amazing journey alongside his mother who set the foundation for his success by showing him that he can do anything .. i'm inspired

Social responsibility means that businesses, in addition to maximizing shareholder value, must act in a manner that benefits society. BYRON ALLEN IS A TRAITOR AND A FOOL. HE IS OF NO VALUE TO BLK SOCIETY.

@@emilystevens6335 Exactly. This is your typical black man. They know soo much about the struggle of black people, but when it comes to test that loyalty, all they want is a white girl around their arms.

@@TheSoliderboy24 Not defending them, but POOR money hungry white girls chase ALL rich men down like the devil. However a wise blk man knows this, sleeps with them all day long, but doesn't marry and give his legacy wealth back to the white race.
