You are one of the only Big12 channels I've seen that actually seems journalistic in nature. So many others come across as opinion channels only and have hosts that are jerks (to be polite about it). Not being a Big12 fan myself I find those other channels difficult if not impossible to follow but you're very different and for that I salute you and what you are doing. Should things change and my school end up in the Big12 (a rumored possibility) I'll be sure to follow you exclusively and happily ignore those other channels.

The revenue distribution makes sense, if you look at the top 12 final CFP ranked teams this year 11 are SEC or B10 members come 2024. If you look at the year before it's 10 of 12 , the year before that it's 9 of 12(ND was 1 of 3 spots), the year before that 9 of 12(ND was 1 of the 3 spots), year before that 10 of 12 spots.

Here's an idea and would give the Big XII and the ACC more of incentive to get to the championship game... The conference of the two teams playing for the National Championship gets the largest piece of the pie. The rest split the remaining. Example: TCU (Big XII) v. Georgia (SEC) would've split 70% of the take two years ago. Washington (Pac-12) v. Michigan (B1G) would have split it last season. Seems fair enough to me.

After the ACC devoured the Big East and destroyed it, I’m fine with watching the hand wringing going on now. Kinda pleasing actually. The schools that bolted haven’t done anything…looking at you Miami… Them imploding while my boys have a nice home is causing classic schadenfreude. Big XII need a footprint in North Carolina. If NCSt is there it would be a crime to not go after them. Wolfpack fans are rabid and always play second fiddle to UNC and Duke. Lot of TV’s around Raleigh.

It makes sense for The Big12 to expand more. The commissioner knows what's coming. When FSU Clemson get out of the ACC that will be it for THE ACC. Big12 grabbing Louisville Pitt VA Tech maybe Ga. Tech makes sense. Now the disparity in this new distribution deal is simply wrong

Everyone loves blaming the B1G and SEC for this madness but all the Big 12 teams that left for the SEC really started this mad dash for money. And now these schools are a huge part of the coming changes that will likely make all other conferences secondary.

From what i understand you need a conference of 8 teams to secure an automatic bid for the playoffs...so lets just say your 7 (FSU, MIAMI, VIRGINIA, VIRGINIA TECH, NORTH CAROLINA, NORTH CAROLINA STATE, and CLEMSON) decided to break away and fourm their own thing it would make sense to add 1 more team in that mix so they could also keep P4 status....maybe GT....ill bet Tulane would would talk half-price to get in 🤔

I just don't see ESPN giving up on their ACC Network investment in early 25 unless they absorb the ACC football brands into the SEC and convert it to SECN2.

KU fan here. Don't cave Brett Yormark. If the Big12 and ACC accept the deal, all it will do is motivate your remaining universities to do whatever it takes to exit. The SEC and Big10 will use the extra money to buy chosen Big12 and ACC schools . Will the SEC and Big10 make college football a mostly regional sport. I am glad basketball is not.

There comes a point when a "conference " is so large its just a big blob of teams with no nexus to each other. Also take the top 12 teams period.

A little disappointed that no one has mentioned UH Cougars winning the B12 championship yesterday. Hail Cougars, Hell yes!

1) Call their bluff. 2) Offer a structure of 49-40-11. 3)Encourage the ACC to form a smaller conference of the four carolina schools, Florida St., Miami, Georgia Tech and Clemson. Adding Virginia/Va Tech is optional. That reduces the ACC's footprint but frees up Pitt, Louisville, Syracuse and BC so everyone has a home. Yormark may not like BC but the other three can be promoted as basketball powers. Oh, I guess that still leaves Stanford, Cal and SMU. They could probably join the Oregon St. Washington St. co-op.

ACC teams should go for a power 3 and join the Big 12 the timing is right with Saban retiring there will be a shift in college football all they need is a few top brands like Florida state to win to be perceived as a power 3 conference

Who says we have to have a playoff or national championship? Non P2 should tell P2 to pound sand and if they are going to be treated less than equals then we can just go back to the old bowl system. Equal base revenue distribution or no deal. End of discussion.

I could see the Big Ten and SEC wanting a "look-in" reevaluation of distribution after any realignment, but that seems like a bad move for the Big 12. Any further realignment is going to favor the Big Ten and SEC. So, unless Yormark knows something we don't, this seems rather foolhardy. The only way I see that you can close the gap would be if the current iterations of the Big 12 and ACC disband, then reform into a new conference with the 16 to 20 most valuable brands from the pool. Even then, they still would not be on equal footing with the Big Ten and SEC as far as media value goes, but that would at least significantly close that gap. Even in such a far fetched fantasy of a scenario, you would still have the top brands looking for a way into the Big Ten and SEC. It would just be a stepping stone for schools to prove their merit. That of course won't happen, because there would be too many schools left out, especially on the Big 12 side of things. To get to 16 schools that make significant bump in value, including Notre Dame, you would be looking at about 10 from the ACC and 6 from he Big 12. To get to 20, you would be looking at about 12 from the ACC and 8 from the Big 12. That's just being realistic based on media value (average viewership) and let's face it, media value is what this is all about.

Espn working hard with 💴 pressure. They want to establish Jr NFL League, which includes B1G and SEC members. Big12 is out. ACC members scramble to join B1G, SEC or Big12 as left overs.

Everything will depend on FSU exit out of the ACC and will the BIG10 and SEC raid the conference.

There is a fix to this madness. It lets the best of the best football teams play against each other, and cash in on the tv value of their games. Meanwhile it protects historic rivalries in basketball and protects Olympic sports from being destroyed by absurd travel. Decouple football from the conferences. Set up a 4 tier, 32 team per tier system where the top 4 advance up and bottom 4 relegate. Pay is based on tier. College football as a collective item negotiates its value with espn and fox and amazon. Instead of conferences fighting amongst each other to attract tv deals, they would work together and tv would actually have to bid for the rights. Schools would make more top to bottom. PAC conf would be back. USC, OSU, ND, Georgia would all be in the same tier and play each other. Losing teams would play meaningful games in October and November.

Non AAU members like Clemson and FSU will never enter the Big 10.

It would be interesting if the big 12 could add North Carolina, NC State, Duke and then either Louisville or Miami. That would greatly add basketball value and pretty decent football programs. Notre Dame would probably jump to the big 10 but that would be a great addition. Just sounds like the ACC is going to the fate of the pac 12 if Florida State and Clemson jump to the SEC like when UCLA and USC jumped ship.

Add a hundred teams, BIG XII. It doesn’t matter. You aren’t the SEC or BIG 10.

All of the ACC will be over in the Big 12 including FSU. FSU is in the same state university system as UCF who is in the Big 12. DeSantis is not signing out FSU and its travel and tourism money to the Big 10 when there is a viable in-state option with Big 12.

ACC sealed its fate with their recent expansion. The idea is to cut off fat, not add more. Big 12 is going to expand

It's wild the B12 is pushing for 3rd tier teams like Louisville and Duke, yet they want to be treated and paid as a Super 2 conference.

Big10 & SEC form a new football subdivision, call it 1-Prime for now, and have their own football playoff. They still remain in the NCAA and all other sports are in division 1. Any football games against FBS schools are treated the same way FBS schools playing against FCS schools is treated. Still participate in the basketball tournament. A separate football playoff structure. Just have to find the correct way to define 1-Prime membership qualifiers so that no other schools ever qualify unless they have are approved by existing 1-Prime members, which are the SEC and Big10. On a side note, the FBS & FCS names need to change, now that FBS is getting a playoff.

More NIL money for SEC and Big Ten.

If ESPN/FOX decide on a 64 team league, I think there is room for everyone in existing power5 except 1 team (ND would have to join). My vote to drop is Boston College. I think however it would be great to have a second tier 64 team set-up and put relegation into play. The lowest 8 teams in the top tier have a playoff game and the top 8 of the second tier do the same thing. The losers of the top tier play a home game against the winners of the 2nd tier. If the top tier team loses, they switch places (relegated). This gives every school the opportunity to have access and I would find these games every bit as exciting and tense as the playoff games which brings excitement to games for both the top and bottom tier teams. For the top tier, 8 auto-bids, 8 byes. The concept of conferences would no longer be in play--- more like the NFL leagues. I would make players employees and I would tax the teams based on a progressive tax against their revenues. I would have the league manage medical and distribute the money to the players (so in this scenario, I'm taking out direct payments by the schools, alumni). Players get to share the wealth and with better equity.

W VA, Tech, Cincinnati and UCF will all be leaving the Big 12 for Big 10 or SEC. The Big 12 had better expand.
