No adult person should be stripped of their rights. Prisoners and inmates have more rights than she does.

Prisoners are people. We can advocate Britney's rights AND support prisoners' rights at the same time. BTW, many prisoners have mental health diagnoses. These issues are deeply connected.
@whatever6796

@@sarahs9801 No one is dehumanizing inmates. It’s a fact that inmates, guilty or not, awaiting trial or convicted, have had more legal rights to attorneys and proper trials then britney had despite being one of the most famous white women to ever exist…
@whatever6796
@whatever6796 2 роки тому
@@katy9569 It’s fact that Britney wasn’t allowed to choose her own lawyer or have a competent trial. which is what is technically allowed to inmates and prisoners. they can also choose whom to associate themselves with and who to talk to. Britney could not do any of that. The info is all out there unless you’re just being willingly obtuse…
@katy9569
@katy9569 2 роки тому
@@whatever6796 Most prisoners don't have the money or resources to choose who represents them. Most of them can only afford ones given to them by the state. In Britney's case, there's no reason why she should be treated like a prisoner in any capacity. But don't compare a superstar being locked in her mansion to inmates who hardly live in decent conditions.

@@nuunubirgitteboassen6957 exactly! Yes! 👏🏼 to add on to what you beautifully said - no one goes “a little crazy” nor does it make them less of a person. Mental health is real and even if a person does not have a psychiatric diagnosis, doesn’t mean we as humans, do not have trying times that affect our mental health. Life happens and we ALL go through some trauma, anxiety, depression, stress. If someone was listening in on my conversations, controlling what I eat, preventing me from seeing my kids, my mental health would not be the best and would never trust anyone again. I think that is more than understandable and normal.
@lovehorseback
@lovehorseback 2 роки тому
@@BeautifulDreamerK thank you! This needed to be said especially for the people in the back! As someone who goes through mental health issues with depression and anxiety mixed in, it’s very hard to deal with stuff that you have to go through every single day. I hate the stigma that just because a person is not mentally sane, they’re a nuisance or they need to be monitored 24/7. In some cases I agree with. But if a person KNOWS they have mental health problems and they are able to control it themselves, they should still have a normal life to live. If someone started monitoring where I go, what I make decisions on, etc it gets to a point where I can’t trust anyone after that because my mental state is so bad. I may have mental health problems but I should still be able to live my life, just like Britney should live her life however she wants

It’s almost like in the public you have to show you’re fine while almost being mentally , physically , & emotionally held hostage and there’s no way out except by law ! And to see so many people bring attention to Britney’s situation I felt was the best way to handle this with #FreeBritney ! Her father doing this to me is deplorable & he should’ve suspended sooner ! Like I remember people talking about “ wear a yellow dress if u need help “ and then in the next video she wore a yellow dress ! without these documentaries (and of course the fans of the free britney movement) we wouldn't have got this far. The excellent investigative journalism of the new york times is what made public the controlling tactics of her father, regarding putting a listening device in her bedroom to record her private conversations. This was used as evidence in court by her lawyer which ultimately contributed to persuading the judge to suspend her father. These documentaries also put more eyes on whats happening. The more people watching the less chance unjust corruption is going to be swept under the carpet. These documentaries are way more factual than the misleading headlines the media spouts. There's publicity put out by the conservatorship. It's designed to put Britney in a bad light to ensure the conservatorship continues. Then there's publicity created by Britney fans and activists who have helped shed light on Britney's (arguably) imprisonment and enslavement. The former kept Britney enslaved. The latter has enabled her freedom and will certainly and eagerly allow and protect Britney's privacy going forward. She's free thanks to the public and the professionals that #FreeBritney activists informed. Britney, her lawyer, and Sam have all credited and thanked #FreeBritney fans for their activism. The Netflix doc was done by some of those activists. You should watch it before you dis it.

GIRLS, THIS IS MORE SERIOUS THAN YOUR "LAISSER- FAIRE" DISCUSSION! She was literally held a prisoner w/"no bars", while working her a** off for corrupt ppl!! If she she was so mentally frail, how did she have such a grueling work schedule??!! This literally affects all other conservatorships in the USA!

no one has ever given Britney a chance to be an adult. every aspect of her life has been controlled from the time is she was a child so of course she’s going to be childlike in certain areas of her life. she deserves the same freedoms as anyone else & the chance to grow up & be a woman in charge of her own life.

This was a bit dissapointing. The abuse that had gone on in this conservatorship, with witnesses coming forward sharing what they saw.. There's a bigger discussion here. This battle has brought awareness to conservatorship abuse and it needs to be spoken about. Forgetting the fact that she is a celebrity. She is a mother who was threatened with not being able to see her children. This was a women forced to use birth control. Can you imagine what she must have felt like having to get that put in. This is a women who is only allowed a certain amount of money a month, while her conservators took more monthly from her estate. And it's heartbreaking to hear of other conservatorships where similar things are happening.

#FreeBrittany 👀 👀 This was definitely a documentary worth watching. Shines a light on a huge injustice done against Brittany Spears. Here is my review and thoughts on the Brittany Vs Spears Netflix documentary dealing with her conservatorship, I would love to hear your thoughts! I don't care for Briney Spears and find it interesting that as everyone flies to her defense, they conveniently leave out what she and Kevin did to Shar Jackson. With that said, I watched the Netflix documentary and if any of The Real ladies had watched it, they wouldn't have said what they said. *Yes, I don't care for Britney, but watching that documentary was the first time I was On Britney's Side & Started Supporting Her Completely. The documentary is totally biased FOR Britney; the legal facts they lay out actually HELPED Britney win last week.* There are many people who do things for exploitation reasons. The ladies who did this documentary were clearly not doing that. They seemed to be in love with Britney and acted as if she could do no wrong. But *the facts they laid out showed clearly why Britney was being unfairly held prisoner by her father's conservatorship.* That Is A Good Thing *FOR* Britney.

Considering that she chose this as her life those who are in charge of everything that she does should continue to exploit her stupidity for profit.

Do you think they took all her freedom only to allow her to have a boyfriend that’s NOT on their side? Seems fishy to me. I hope not cause she deserves the best!!❤️

So where was all of this compassion when they talked about Lindsay Lohan? I believe it was back in season 1. All they done was trash talk her and Adrienne repeatedly called her a train wreck. Lindsay fought drug and alcohol addictions. But that doesn’t make her a bad person. But suddenly they can have compassion for Brittany Spears when she got in the same type of trouble that Lindsay did. This show is supposed to be about uplifting women. But it’s really just about uplifting “certain” women. It’s a joke.
