I've only recently started watching some of the output on the state of Dublin and other places. I didn't realise it was that bad. I grew up in the 1970's and I skipped a generation having older parents. They talked a lot of how they could see the changes being made and were worried about the future of their children and grandchildren. Much of what they predicted has happened I'm afraid to say. When you're young you don't see it and don't listen. I remember them saying to me back then that my generation had very few of the freedoms they had had, and a much worse education which they could see was being politicised.
