One of my childhood memories was the Star Wars movie, I loved the place and its little shelter in this imaginary cave!
Today I will try to make a small identical shelter, very happy to share with you my passion for survival
If you want to survive in the woods you really have to find the means to be able to make shelters according to the places and it is adapted with the environment!
Here is my new shelter, in this place I use a lot of small branches to build but also clay for insulation and protection from the rain.
In this episode you will find the main features to know how to build a shelter of this type.
As you can see I only use natural materials!
This shelter is designed to withstand at least 6 months! I invite you to subscribe to discover the rest of my adventures. Afterwards I will make the fireplace inside and a dining table and bed. This shelter will be adapted to spend olus of time warm in all conditions.
Thank you all very much for your comments and support!

When I was younger me and the other kids used to love making den’s, nothing as elaborate as this but it was great fun and a good way to spend time. Kids don’t go out anymore and do this sort of thing which is a reflection of so called development. This shelter if maintained could las longer than 6 months I reckon, it would make a splendid retreat for kids and those of us kids that never grew out of these kind of adventures, when I retire in 4 years I will have a go at making one of these especially the wattle and daub plastering. It won’t be as good as this but I will have a hoot having a go 😁

Kids still go out you know. Also its the parents most of thr time that are at fault. Keeping their kids inside by giving them ipads and computers whenever they are annoying then instead of dealing with them or sending them out. And people are too protective of younger kids nowadays. Some things like stay away from roads and take an adult or older person with you is ok but people just dont seem to want kids near any kind of dirt or cuts and bruises.
@dickdastardly5534
@dickdastardly5534 2 роки тому
@@AlyxAesthetics I have no doubt about your point but nowhere near the amount that used I suggest, there is a paedophile around every corner and child murderer at large (most of these offences are perpetrated by family members or close friends the evidence supports ) parents are gripped with fear which has been sensationalised by the media so many parents are happy to have their kids at home as a consequence.

Thats a wonderful,loving gift from a father.....and all of the enjoyable times she can have in there if you do this on your property......swank it up....solar lights ,flower boxes,herb garden.... When I was a young girl we were poor,my dad was abusive and times were hard...but I would walk my 4 little brothers uo the alley into a field that had an enclosure nature made of twigs,vines,etc....I would have them go inside and sit and eat a little lunch I packed....crackers,pickles. I had hoped that memories made would soften the blows of a violent and harsh environment,upbringing... Your idea is truly a blessing for her....

I used to do a lot of soil cement road base designs.And mix in place or pug mill.For state high ways parking lots etc.Using either orange clays sandy to loamy and shell mixes.Usually with about 6%-8% cement max.(4% the lowest and still met psi requirements). Orange loamy sandy clays with a good gradient of silica sands the best. Thinking it wood be great for adobe homes too properly engineered. Thanks Good Job Man!

Oh Athos you do not disappoint! It’s lovely so far. My 10 year old son and I sat and watched this in total awe. You are amazing. This is a fine house for Yoda or one who wants shelter that’s cozy and awesome looking. Thank you for showing us and we await the next peek. ❤️

You and your son can easily build one. Even if you don't use clay on the outside, the interwoven branches, especially if willow or grapevines, can make a great backyard hangout for kids. You can also train vines to cover it, but make sure any flowering vines do not attract bees or other stingers.

Its so cool!!.It reminds me of a nest that a bird would make.I want to make one in my yard.When I was a kid, my friends and I used to play in a natural cave made from forsythia bushes.We had several rooms in it and we had picnics there.I also used it to hideout there when I skipped school later.It would be fun to try building a hut like this.
