Wow, this was the best video I've seen for a while. Nothing on tv any more worth watching. In my younger days this is exactly how I would be living. But time moves on. I use to love being out in the woods with my children, fishing, camping, cooking. I love the place where the cabin is. Nothing like a tin roof when raining and a good dog to keep you company. I have a real soft spot for Black Labs. My first Black lab was the most loyal dog i ever had in my life. Everywhere I was she was never too far away. My current lab is 4 years old and she is the sweetest, tender hearted & loving creature god has blessed me with. I will always have a lab in my life. I really enjoyed watching your video….no matter how long it was…..I think it gives folks a chance to sit back and just relax….enjoy doing something with your hands…you’re outdoors….and the scenery is gorgeous. I believe when you’re finished with your cabin you will definitely have a home…actually it is now. Looks like you really enjoy what you’re doing and the cabin shows the love and work you’ve put into it. I think watching something like this is a big help to someone who may be having some issues with depression or other things…kinda takes you away and you can ask yourself “if I was doing this how would I do it”? I enjoyed your video of building the log cabin in the main woods. But what I enjoyed more was you and your black lab. I have a lab just like yours but older. The funny part was when you lab appeared carrying along the stuffed bear. My lab does the same thing with a stuffed toy like yours. Even though many parts were extremely boring to my modern mind accustomed to all the distractions, I couldn't help but watch the peaceful tranquility of this legacy that you added onto. You could have torn down and rebuilt but you did not. Instead you added blood-sweat-and-tears to the blood sweat and tears of the previous generations. I'm proud of you young man😊. Also even though I am not a Christian I was struck by your admiration of your deity. You weren't flashy or boastful or even prideful. You communicated your beliefs without harassing anyone.😊 In my estimation, you're one of the real ones based on that observation. Is boring as I first thought your video was, sitting through it I actually realized what I thought was boredom was actually something more profound. It was the experiencing of the moment and the beautiful spectacle that is all around me. All that nature. It makes me wonder how Adam and Eve they lived before and after the fall. Labradors are such wonderful dogs. I've been fortunate that I've had more than a handful since my childhood. As a teen, my emotional support animal was my female lab. This in the mid 80s was way before such a title was given to dogs. I had a connection with that dog that was such a blessing. When your pup was staring out at the water, it looked so stoic. Like the dog was contemplating the meaning of life itself. If I were to guess, I would say it was thinking "Man it sure would be cool to go fetch up some ducks Dad shot out of the sky ?" Anyways, I enjoyed watching you fix up the cabin.. I am now partially handicapped and never thought I'd miss doing the type of work you're doing. I truly miss it, though. Today, I have two brother litter mate dogs . They're 75% great pyrenees and 25% caucasion shepherd..I've completely ruined them for being farm dogs because they're now much more accustomed to keeping me company inside the house and up on the bed than roaming my property chasing off varmints. As I write the last part of this comment, you just called hour dog Gracie..so I'm gonna assume she's a she. What a sweet heart. May you have many years of life together w your family and pup..
