I always laugh watching bushcraft videos from Europe and North America where they set "thick" batons of kindling, that would never work here in Australia.

Please don't think I'm being antagonistic - I'm not, I'm highlighting the fact that we all can do this and we all have the skills needed to "survive" with the methods shown. That's really quite important. It is fantastic that the dude making the video is imparting his skills and showing that we can utilise our own skills, however basic, in such a manner that we too can construct something similar to the incredible little "house" in this video. Also, I'm not at all meaning to detract from the skills, experience and knowledge of this dude - he's done many of us a favour by showing what we can do with a little forethought and some hard work, (it is somewhat time-consuming, for sure). Please also understand that I'm not saying that you're wrong at all - I'm just wanting to share the fact that we all have the ability to make something like this - it is requiring skill, but we all have the required skills.
