The brickmaking process is: Shove some clay into a brick mould, then come back 20 minutes later to find that they have all been baked in a brick oven. It's marvellous.

Nice job on the interior. I was particularly impressed with the fireplace and brick floor. Unfortunately, from what I saw, nothing was done to keep the rain from coming in through the roof. You have to have a starter course and overlap by just over half with the shingles. The other problem is the stairs. They need to be covered for the rain, or they're going to turn into a mudslide.

It's not humanly possible for a single person to dig this elaborate of an underground shelter alone. Her poor hands would be blistered up in just a few minutes. Just look at how hard this soil is and that's just top soil. I have no doubt there is a large crew of people with heavy duty machinery that dig this. There are so many channels that try to replicate the original but they use other means to do so. This is nothing against the young woman in the video whatsoever. I like to know if there is any type of pine trees there? pine trees are very sappy and create pine tar when they die . Pine tar is very long burning if you find a dead or dying pine tree cut the branches at the trunk if the wood is red or pink that's pine tar if you use that as fuel for your fire depending on the size it can burn up to 6 hours. Pine tar is found at the joints of branches and at the base of dead pine trees don't use fresh pine aka green pine in a fire place the fresh sap will explode! the resin has to dry up to be safe. Best dead pine are greyish in color to have good pine tar.

That's a staggering amount of work and quite impressive. My only issue is the roof, too many gaps to keep the rain out. If she planned on using non-in-situ materials like the black moisture barrier on the outside, it would have been good to also put a similar layer under the shakes she made for the roof, then she would stay dry when it rains. Impressive craftmanship otherwise.

For anyone who has never done this type of work before, it is exhausting and backbreaking activity. To do all of this with a couple of simple tools is amazing. Her energy level rivals mine when I was 19 years old working on the labor gang at a steel mill over summer break in college. I spent the summer digging trenches in slag pits, running a 90 pound jackhammer, shoveling lime slurry out of railroad cars and shoveling coal. Her skills and energy levels are literally off the chart. An amazing display.

She didn’t do this alone c’mon now.

SEVERAL of these so-called "INDIVIDUAL BUILDS" were busted (and removed by UKposts) as FRAUDS. They had crews that built the dwellings, but the videos were edited as to make the audience believe it was a solo person doing all of the build.

Именно поэтому, а еще из-за монтажа я и не верю, что она сама что-то сделала

Horrible comment. If you don't have enough common sense to see she didn't do this alone...

cool build and well done on not showing all that help you had diggging that hole on the ground as I could hear the excavator backing up in some of your sound clips in the backround. I would love to see the behind the scene video with all the help you had to do this. and love all the music chickens and other people you can hear talking in the back round while you are trying to pretend you are out in the woods some were remote building this by yourself. At least be honest about how you are creating these shelters as your work is great but anyone like myself that has done construction for many years in remote locations building log cabins Knows that you did not do this alone and on your own. I mean hell if you are going to try and sell this at least pay attention to all your back round noises in your video as it give's everything away!! sad you could not just be honest about your builds.

Look, lets not pretent that she wasnt getting some help with all the precision cut wood, roof tiles and the premade bricks n stuff, But even still that is an incredibly impressive build to take on mostly solo!!! And by sourcing building supplies probably off local workers she actually using her UKposts earnings to keep the community going... So all round massive respect!!!! Keep up the great work!!!!

great project; She did a good cut out and assembly job. would've loved to see the processing too...i.e. the chances of a person finding that many exact same trees of the exact same size/diameter for all the filler is clearly manufactured. Still a great build.

Now that I think about it, while I still respect the build...this project is like a guy who calls himself a 'gunsmith' because he can assemble an AR15

That type of digging must be savage for the arm joints. I hope these lovely folk aren't really having to dig these huge holes all by themselves - it would be insanely bad for you.

That hard packed clay takes a really long time to dig, but it’s perfect for making a dugout shelters. This would take a crew of workers many days to dig. I would be surprised if she did this by herself.

I’m impressed by how they hide the excavators tire tracks in between the stages.

I could almost see our ancestors doing this if they had metal tools. Love your Inspiring videos. Great talent.
@ChadPrestonOfficialThree8 місяців тому
Our ancestors were far more technologically advanced than we are now. We've been purposely dumbed down by the educational system and indoctrinated to believe in the "cave man" scenario, and what that has done is reversed our thinking - we believe WE are the pinnacle of the ages, when in reality society and scientific knowledge has REGRESSED. For millennia, energy was harvested straight from the aether/air around us and powered everything, everywhere all the time. The His-story books are filled with lies.

Agreed, she didn't do this alone nor is this true bushcraft skill. I DO build stuff like this and I'm telling you a lot of those materials look far to good or uniform to just have been "found" out there. I just don't buy it. All in all it is a nice shelter, well at least until it rains and the walls cave in as it becomes a mud puddle lol.

To those who think she can't have done this on her own: there is allot that can happen during a camera cut including hours or days of work. Editing just may make it look like one day.
@Eccohawk7 місяців тому
I don't think anyone is saying she couldn't have done it on her own. But the way it's presented is fairly disingenuous. The day pack hanging from the same tree branch despite it being obvious this took weeks to excavate, fell the wood, (drive to home Depot and pick up pavers...) and assemble it all. There's the fact she's in the same exact clothes with the same hairdo/hat, and somehow managed to stay clean inside of a CLAY PIT. Her shoes weren't even dirty. The fact this video is labeled as building a 'shelter'...sorry but a shelter is something you can assemble within 1-2 days at most, in order to protect oneself from the elements. It's an interesting video to watch, but presenting it like someone could just casually put this together if they were trapped in the wilderness is just fantasy.
