Hagrid's Hut Diorama
Made of foamboard, XPS-foam, plastic embroidery grid, cardboard, hot glue. Black and Brown primers are acrylic paint mixed with white glue.
Pumpkins made of polymerclay
Storage boxes and wheelbarrow made of coffee sticks
Paints: Vallejo Game colors

THANKYOU SO MUCH ! it's definitely love type of hobby , I'm making two different diaromas for Christmas gifts this year both if which are completely hand made from scratch using everyday things I have around my home , with the exception of a 3-d puzzle tanker truck for my vintage gas station that I got at harbor freight

Found this on the day I heard of Robbie Coltrane’s passing and it feels fitting to watch and not just coincidence. I will miss him dearly. He was a wonderful actor and an awesome Hagrid 💔

As a person who has crafted Hagrid's hut herself, I'm so impressed and happy for the result you got in the end. The hugest pain for me personally here were MEASUREMENTS. They are just so unique and complex within this building. Apart from that, I made EVERY shingle separately from air-dry clay... On top of all, there are so many tiny details and scatter. So, this project required too much to be the very first one, and it had even been abandoned for a while. But in the beginning of this year I did successfully manage to finish my first project and I can't be prouder. Wish you luck for your future dioramas and sculptures, Onni! You're one of my female youtuber role models❤

I randomly came across this video but boy am I glad I did! I've been doing my own little dive into dioramas and it's great to see the techniques used by people as talented as yourself. The roofing you did was a lot simpler than I thought but it looks amazing!! I'm gonna have to remember that for my next project because I was really struggling with how to do it before. You could form “smoke” from cotton ball/cotton wool (in a smoke-looking spiral?) and adhere it to a wire. Then adhere the wire to either 1) the inside of the chimney and have a dedicated, coiled string of fairy lights that blink down inside the hut right under the smoke (surround the blinking fairy lights in a sheath of cardboard or whatever, so that the blinking can’t be seen through the windows). And the blinking lights will make the cotton smoke look animated. OR 2) have the fairy lights adhered inside the chimney, for the same effect as I just described, but make sure that it’s not obvious to onlookers that there are fairy lights in the chimney! 😂 I have another idea: adhere the wire from the cotton smoke to a mini automated turntable and let the smoke actually spin. Lighting the smoke if you do it this way, would be optional. You could try it with and without and see which way looks best. xx 😊

I do environments etc in 3d. 3D sculptor. But recently when I want to take a break from the screen, I have started with traditional sculpting as a hobby. Its something special when you do Physical ART, rather than its stuck inside a computer.
