She became the family electrician and I became the plumber. We learned so much by just doing it. You go!!!! I,too,am going through the grief process since my wife passed away last summer. I live in the "smaller" mountains in north Georgia. As a distraction,I bought a convertible Corvette C8. I met you when hou were living in a camper together with someone. Short after you split.. then stond the bus bought another and a long story began...i have never steen you so happy as now...i was worried about Reno but he was running around in the video so thats a winner too. Greef stays but you learn to live with it and slowly the sharp sites fade away...it changes jou as it dus me. It's such a Victorian color, for your Victorian house...and looks gorgeous with, say, an old leather chair...a crystal glass with cognac or dubonnet...a china cup full of amber tea, steaming quietly by lamplight...an old Persian rug in deep, rich colors...perhaps a stained glass reading lamp? and books, of course. Have I mentioned before how much I love your house? It's just perfect. Such a lovely, gracious lady, that's how I see her. She loves you and is so happy you've come to live with her.

In our twenties, we bought and renovated a Victorian cottage which had been partially tripped of its period features.It was a tiny shoebox - a single fronted weatherboard cottage. We reinstalled ornate plaster cornice, ceiling rosettes, dado rails and panelling, picture rails, baltic pine kitchen, a leadlight vestibule door and a dark stained pine panelled bathroom. Needing more space for our family, we moved to the suburbs. My advice to you is to never sell your property because you cannot buy anything like this anymore in our country as prices have gone absolutely crazy. Now 40 years later, we are building a double fronted version of our original house and plan to make it look authentic to the style in dimension, layout and materials. It's so refreshing to see younger people appreciating and renovating heritage building. Well done.

How do you entertain us when doing the boring bits? Be you. The amazing, beautiful, wonderful you. Great find on that wallpaper. I like the idea of the masculine and feminine contrast in design. Light and dark. The duality in design. Gonna look great! My suggestion for paint is studio hours on all walls then accent with a "header and footer" strip of lobby scene. Maybe a third strip mid wall? Or a combo of horizontal &vertical strips in keeping with contrast. Don't forget the ceiling is a 5th wall. Wallpaper on there too?? You're doing great. You look great. ❤

OMG I love ALL the colors. I think choosing any other the two lighter colors for the wall will be a great backdrop for your other two darker colors. You can add them via curtains, pillows, rugs and even small furniture pieces. You have a great eye. I love love love the wall paper.

Oiohhhh, I like both light colors because with the dark wall paper it would be nice to have light walls. It would be too dark during mid winter months when it’s really cold outside. Darkness outside and darkness inside might make you depressed. Or, at least it would put me in a slumber down mood. So, my vote is lighter walls.

I guess I've been in too many institutional school buildings in my life that were always some sickening shade of green so it's not my favorite color except in money...lmao. Yes, your vegetable bowl looks delicious. I became a pescatarian (only eat seafood from animal kingdom) on February 2 of this year due to health reasons, and your veggie bowl looks much like what I’ve been eating since then. I haven’t eaten any sea food yet, but leaving that door open wil help me have options when I’m busy Wildland firefighting this summer.

I had a two story 1907 house that had the huge flower wallpaper in the formal living room, but the flowers were just a little brighter without the dark tones. It was gorgeous, but I also like really old school stuff. Stay safe and enjoy life as it comes. Looked like a lot of snow up there this year, don't know if you ski, but it looks like a great opportunity up there.

The pickled onions look great too; they remind me of the pickled onions and carrots my mother used to make. The aesthetic sense of direction you're heading with your interiors is very intriguing - definitely feminine but with deep undertones that are earthy and substantial too. I love your choices. We bought an older home. The upstairs loft was cream walls and oak cubbard doors. I painted the cubbard doors a dark charcoal gray. And I'm going to paint the walls a dark sage green. Bought a burgundy recliner from a restore and a desk in the dark redwood colors. I'm trying to create an office reading area for my husband. 😊

Oh man that hike looked absolutely beautiful. My wife and I are gonna have to do some research ro find it. Love the house builds, we are also, little by little, fixing up a home.
