Kayla, you gotta understand that the vast, VAST majority of people follows you to WATCH you build fun stuff, the same way we'd watch an artist draw. People rarely care about downloading the exact copy with every single clutter item. Twitch chat wants unlimited packs, UKposts comments want unlimited packs. Limiting packs feels like watching an artist draw but using only 5 crayola crayons when they have 500 expensive markers that would make the drawing pop.

Personally, as someone who watches all of Simsie's videos but does not own the Sims 4, I prefer unlimited pack builds because I like to see how creative Simsie can be without pack limitations (but I totally get that people who have the games but not certain packs would like to sometimes see a build they can download)

for when you asked abt how people feel abt limited pack builds, i feel that most of us don’t mind limited pack or limited budget builds, its just when doing both together like a no pack build with a tight budget, it heavily limits creativity, just something i noticed!

About the limited pack thing, I completely understand what it's like to have none of the packs and watching youtube content with stuff that I do not own and it making me sad. But also, it gives people the opportunity to live through you and see how creative this game can be. There's only so much you can do with just the base game, and seeing your creativity is way more fun in my opinion. Don't feel so guilty, it's okay to sometimes have fun and go all out

Limited pack builds are good when you're reviewing a specific pack or kit, but in general, i like when you lose lots of packs! It's more fun to watch someone build a place with variety.

every time Kayla talks about how difficult university is in the Sims 4, I chuckle. I start all my sims as teenage runaways (Rags to Riches Style) so I can prepare them to qualify for university scholarships because I send ALL my sims to university, each term with the max classes, and scholarships are pretty much sending your sims to college for free. I always play groups of 3-5 teen sims preparing for university so I tend to have 3-5 sims in university and manage to get them all with A/A+ in both high school and university. I make sure A/A+ in high school to qualify for one of the scholarships, my sims tend to qualify for around 5 scholarships each. I've never struggled with this. but I do struggle with building and trying to record my sims gameplay! each person has their talents lol

A trans charity stream wasnt something i expected but I couldn’t be happier that its taking place!! Things have been rough particularly on state and local levels, and seeing support from anyone can be very encouraging for people in the community. Cant wait 4 the stream!!!

I think the student side having the tv in a "weird" place makes a lot of sense. It reminds me of how my roommates and I had to put our tv in a corner because of the bad outlet placement.

I love your limited pack builds! It’s a fun challenge for you to use items you don’t commonly use, plus more fun for me as someone who doesn’t own a lot of packs. I much prefer limited packs to limited funds. I like the idea of randomly generating a few packs and using them to create something 😊

Although it is unwarranted my ideas on limited or unlimited packs is that using less packs to me can make the build seem more cohesive since you don’t have to combine as many materials that weren’t “intended” to go together. I still have most of the packs and am bad about using one thing from one kit. In my opinion it’s really to each their own of what kinda build you wanna make.

As much as I appreciate you using limited packs as a person that doesn’t have many, I can always go in and furnish it myself, watching how creative you are with building is so much fun, especially when you don’t have that limit

tbh a 8 college students challenge sounds like so much chaos - i love it! :D I recently had a sims doing University move im with her boyfriend, who also was enrolled and it is so hard to keep track of the homework and everything. The boyfriend even started in my household with being on notice and in the end beeing banned to enroll in Uni again for a week because of his grades!

I will always respect your faithfulness towards making builds downloadable for a wider variety of people. You have often spoken about not being able to download stuff in sims3, and i also think you're aware of the fact that some of those that may benefit from the reduced packs build don't necessarily have the same voice as the all packs enjoyers. About the 'limited or no limited pack'- topic. (English is not my first language so i hope everything makes sense) I truly appreciate you thinking about people who want to download this, and not playing with cc for console players. It's nice to be able to download builds off the gallery. But from the perspective of a vieuwer on UKposts, I personally think it's more entertaining & the builds come out better when you don't use any restrictions (only basegame or budget and stuff). I think most of your subscribers will enjoy building themselfs, because why else watch 'building videos' literally every day 😅 So maybee thats why the poll votes come out like that. If i'm speaking for myself, I watch you for entertainment and building inspiration (and sims news). But I think your balance between limitations and no limitations is perfect right now. Just had an idea for a challenge, don‘t know if you did it before: An unlimited pack build, but you can only use every pack once. So once you used a chair or wallpaper from growing together, you can‘t use anything else from that pack!

The windows covering the front makes total sense when you consider that they are terraced so the sides of the buildings have no windows at all, if the front and back wasn't covered in windows likely some rooms would have no windows at all, and having lived in a couple terraced houses before, that totally happens sometimes lol😂

i wish the sims 4 was more random, I get so bored and tired of having to do everything myself and plan everything out!!!! But i don't get that feeling with Sims 2, I can kinda let the sims make their own choices and I can tailor the game to them, rather than tailoring it to me. :)

While i love pack limited builds for some particular type of buildings (like starter houses or high schools), most of the time I love all pack builds AND i actually would love to see you build with CC more often!

I think limited pack builds are helpful because I have a decent amount of packs but I hate downloading houses and then having to go back and fix everything that came from packs I don’t have. Unlimited pack builds are great. but sometimes like in this case I think limited is better for someone who would want to replace their lot with this one and university and do it with no problems! 👍🏼 Seeing the creativity on houses you make for yourself though is amazing and I’d love to see more but I think there should be some balance.

id love a sort of “difficulty” that would add more randomness to the gate tbh, cuz sometimes i want chaos and guided gameplay and other times i want a break from life and want perfect lmao

8 uni students??? I would crumble! I've never sent a student to live at University before, but I tend to send my Sims while living at home. In my legacy family, it is really common for me to have two go at once, and everyone else in the house is completely neglected...and each generation, I say enough. These two don't NEED to go to university! I'm going to save the stress and skip it...but it's almost a family tradition now and when they are old enough, I always cave and send them, lol. Also, I love watching you build using any and all packs. :)

I think if there was a chaos mode on sims 4 that would be perfect. But for the most part I get so attached to my sims and then get sad when bad things happen to them!! So I think I like having more control as a player! But it would be fun to be more chaotic sometimes.

I never ever download the builds, I just love watching them get built. I suspect I'm in the majority here. I like to take inspiration from watching you to build better lots in the Sims game myself, so I'm not bothered at all by how many packs and kits you use in your own builds - I'm here for entertainment and inspitstion, as I suspect many of us are.

I think it's especially funny to think of an RP moment for this build. I love that there's a professor on one side who is just trying to live a peaceful life with their family. I like the idea that the student-rented townhouse is owned by an alumni of Foxbury, or someone associated with Foxbury (maybe it's owned and subsidized by Foxbury, I've seen that with apartments near private unis) who knows that the neighbor is a Brightchester professor, and is trying to sabotage them by renting to students lol.

an 8 sim student challenge is definitely do-able! i found it easy enough by doing homework in the order of the classes, enrolling on a friday so i could get the presentations/term papers/homework ready for the start of term, selecting 3 modules per term instead of the 4, and picking babysitting as a job for all of them since it's only on a weekend. doing their homework as soon as they leave the class keeps you on track, and of course selecting "take notes" for every class keeps their grade up. it's also better if they have different degrees cause all of their schedules are different so one can cook for everyone else if they are all at a class. it felt like a full time job but at least they all ended up with an a+ and were all the top of their classes 😅

I'm happy with whichever packs you put in it lol! 😊 I do prefer control in my Sims games I found neighbourhood stories got out of hand too quickly, I left it to its own devices and everyone had either 5 children or 5 dogs or cats and it was killing Sims left right back centre so I had to stop it. I didn't want any Sims I was attached to dying, my hubby calls me a control freak because of that lol, but I just want my Sims to live happy full lives and maybe yes I have plans and I'd prefer them to stick to them but sometimes when I'm playing the game then takes my Sims in directions I never expected it to and I allow it to lol, it sometimes decides who they get with by who they meet for example and I let it 😊 I am loving this build, I am not playing 4 uni Sims at once though. I used your other build to use For Rent and swap between two Sims and play uni that way, two total courses and like one extra curricular and that worked out easier lol. As I find three or four courses more of a slog, they never get chance to socialise or do anything, and this way my Sim Mia was able to work on her robotics skill and max it. But that's not to say I wouldn't love to watch you attempt it! 😂 We only had chairs, I think they were plasticy but with wooden arms etc, but I lived in dorms, I had personal issues during my second year, so didn't get to move into a student house like I planned to, but it was en-suite bathrooms and really good internet so it wasn't too bad so I stayed there for three years in Coventry (I'm also from the UK lol) wow not thought about Uni in ages lol! Oo can't wait to add some Sims in to play in it! 😊🥰 I've noticed the rooms in the uni household are split into two Sims so I think I'll split the households that way, two Sims I think I may be able to manage at uni lol, four at one go...no way lol! 😅

Why am i now imaging Stanley as one of the characters ins his hotdog costume compaining about the overlord makling him stand for hours in the rain to catch fish. Then it cuts to a shot of Kayla doing one of her "can you get rich" game plays and it shows Stanley and the other sim stood at the river bank fishing.

70% unlimited; 25% limited; 5% base game id say hahah think i really enjoy a mix: i do prefer how it looks when you use all packs, but enjoy seeing how items from different packs can be used for limited pack builds.
