What’s the point of ranked mode if you’re always playing ranked mode

My wins in Warzone are most often the first or second match. After that it is just frustration and losing. No more fun after 2 matches.

So they are admitting to rigging games in order to emotionally manipulate everyone to "feel good" when playing the game. So skill really doesn't matter at the end of the day, your feelings do.

We should all run our area codes in the clan tag again. It would be interesting to see how far out we're connecting

Keep in mind, this is only for Multiplayer. I'm eager to hear what and why the other modes of play are different. Very odd that they would be at all.

Basically punishment for being good and trash players getting gaslighted too think there better than they are, how can u really even tell if your getting good it’s insane how I can be in a lobby and get 1 kill 16 deaths and be in another lobby get 18 kills no death we really should boycott but it wouldn’t happen

For them to admit that they're purposely trying to make you lose completely just takes out the competitiveness. It's basically like the WWE where wins and losses don't matter or mean anything because its pre scripted. How do you know if you've truly won or lost, or if the games just decided its your turn to win or lose.

Really curious as to how their “Ranked” matchmaking differs from this. As Ranked is solely based on skill, how does that factor into match making? I have a screen shot of an entire team of top 250 players matched up against a team that consisted of a platinum 1, gold 1, bronze 3, and a bronze 1. Like wtf? How does that remotely happen in a “ranked” mode?

Now I understand why sbmm is so bad! What a shitty way to matchmaking!!

I did a large sample of solo WZ games across many days and times: I'm Houston based, so my local server is Dallas: - Dallas server ( 200miles / 7ms / 9% of games) - Atlanta server (600 miles / 22ms / 13% of games) - Chicago server (900 miles / 28ms / 47% of games) - DC server (1100 miles / 38ms / 31% of games). There is no circumstance, ever, that I should have 91% of my games on 3 servers that are hundreds of miles further away than my local server.

When getting stomped after doing well is not by chance, but by punishment, people are gonna take it as a punishment---and no one likes sticking around for a punishment. Additionally, In mw3 I feel like these 'stacked' lobbies have been dialed up to an impossible-to-win level in mw3, as compared to even mw 2019 or vanguard etc.

So basically, if all the true fans of COD (i.e. player that get good by putting the hours) decide to quit, they basically sabotage the company. Honestly, don’t know why good players get punished so much. I have the highest KD of my boys (2.3, nothing fancy), and always get the worst ping, if they put a bullet on a enemy, the kill goes to them… and the list continues… Really bad experience. Maybe it’s just me, but I guess that’s why I’m currently enjoying zombies.

The problem is they want and they control everything. When to win , when to lose , how many kills , is frustrating how they control everything. Crossplay on or off in platforms dont work. They put you in lobbies with all platforms . Its crazy

Other thing to mention is that for the average player if you are getting clapped constantly in lobbies, then you are more likely to want to buy the latest gun(S) in the store to gain a perceived advantage etc. Activision and their partner studios only care about $$$ - zero about player experience or game performance.

Im sorry but some of these statements are straight up lies. Ping is not king in this game, at least it wasn't for the entirety of MW2 and it still isnt in most cases with MW3. The time to match also isn't. Theres so many other games with less overall players that match you way faster. But the biggest lie is that matchmakings biggest priority is fun. No it isn't and they know that and we know that. Its priority is providing a rollercoaster ride of hard and easy lobbies in order to keep you playing and paying as much as possible, inspired by tactics casinos use. (Btw if you buy a skin in the shop your lobbies will probably briefly get better so that you're more likely to buy another skin, its mentioned in one of their patents)

Win or lose proportionetly. Great, so really does not matter how good you are. Based on your performance they match you with players to get the balance they want. How wonderful.

I miss the old days of server browsers where you could find a good ping, rules, and maps server and stay there for the whole day if you wanted.

I can't speak on Multiplayer, but on WZ when my whole squad bought the Timthetatman bundle we had a good 4-5 win streak directly after

Crazy part is that, I’m just in it to level up the gun. It do be annoying having to sweat against other sweats EVERY SINGLE MATCH. Always being top or second isn’t rewarding lol

idk about that "skill based matchmaking does not affect in-game elements". there are times i have all the aim assist and then there are times where i have zero aim assist.

I think they weaseled their way out of actually answering the question about hit registration/damage etc. Sure, the *matchmaking* may not be altered based on that, but that doesn’t preclude the possibility that hit registration/damage etc. is altered during matches.

I remember playing cod online for the first time in BO3. I played it religiously, and I eventuallu developed a K/D of just about 2.6 or so. Ever since MW19 to now, my K/D in multiplayer specifically has always been around 1 to 1.2 I know I'm an above average player, yet my stats don't reflect that.

Forcing defeats increases the time in the game in the short term, but in the long term it's frustrating to know that after a good round you have to play against horrible sweats and that's so frustrating that you stop playing the game altogether.

If they really want to see what the community want, have a skilled based mode and a random skill mode and see which one they play more. They won’t because they know that no actual player likes skill based and it’s all About the money not the community.

The game decides beforehand whether or not you win or lose games. That is so lame. This is why I won't ever buy another cod title.

I live in Dallas close to a cod dedicated server. On my main account I usually get between 30’s to 60’s ping on average. On my other account that I never play on, using the same PS5, I get under 10 ping. To me this is proof that connection is far down the list on matchmaking, otherwise I would be getting under 10 ping or close on my main account.

Wonder if there’s more to voice chat aspect than they say. Can’t tell you how many times me and my squad have said “alright this is our last one for tonight” and we win our last game. Doesn’t happen all the time but often enough to notice

I feel this is happening all the time when i get teamed up with such low-level players going up against teams full of max levels. (I know level isn't everything, but in the early season, when the cap increased, it's a decent way to gauge)

Confirmed COD caters to casuals and Fks over good players. I haven't played COD actively for some time now. I think i'm done. If I don't select RANKED play. Don't give me RANKED lobbies... Fk COD.

I get thrown into US lobbies at 100-200 ping quite often from the UK, although usually this is during the night for me so its kinda expected. It would be nice if we could have our own setting for maximum ping to force the matchmaking to find a game within our own ping parameters so we can at least be in control of what we deem to be an acceptable top end for max ping

They said spending money in-game doesn’t effect matchmaking, that’s never been the accusation. Also, they said matchmaking doesn’t effect in game elements, never been the accusation. Let’s leave matchmaking out of it for a moment. Isn’t it entirely possible that spending money in-game changes in-game elements and they’ve just danced around that using the term matchmaking? Classic lawyer speak. They 100% could be using some form of AI that fluidly changes in game variables in order to achieve its, now public, predetermined outcomes. The amount of data they have on you dates back to 2019 and encapsulates EVERYTHING. Challenges completed, loadouts, EVERY game’s stats/outcomes, playstyles, skins, teammates. You can request you’re data from them and you’ll get it within a day. They have a form on their website. Just set aside some time cause you’re gonna be scrolling for hours

If they're tracking all these in game skill statistics for everyone simultaneously (skill, player input, etc) I'd be curious to know how these recordings are affecting general connection in the match. I say that because when I stream and play on the same computer I DEFINATELY notice a performance decrease.

They have already artificially raised the skill floor with AA, RAA along with increased gun sway, gun recoil animations and gun smoke that gives large advantages to console and controller players. Us MnK players don't care about longer wait times if we have the option to choose match making by input. You might actually see the return of streamers and pro going back to MnK when it isn't a handicap because of AA, RAA

I figured 4-6min from time i hit start to the time we hop off the plane. It's ridiculously long just to get wiped in the first 60sec a lot of games and restart the process... lol

Any idea if the on screen latency is actually accurate 100% of the time? Mine usually sits at 19-24ms regardless of if it actually feels that way or not. Sometimes it feels like 80 but will still say 21

Good video man, ik these are not exactly what you mainly post but it’s very much appreciated man 👍.Honestly they are late, all of my friends have stopped playing and now play literally anything else from EFT to Apex and I’ve quit too. The quality of zombies is awful and forcing people to play bad MP maps is just mean and visual recoil in a game like COD that should be a “arcade shooter” is just bad

This is such bs. I've been grinding call of duty since big red one and I can tell you that the matchmaking hasn't done anything but gotten worse since cod 4. I think with the introduction of death streaks in mw2 is when you really started to see Activision trying to protect the casual player. Unfortunately for me I'm not the casual that's being protected so most of my lobbies are a grind and I appreciate some competition, but it would be nice if idk they loosened it up a little and I could get a couple of casual games a day.

seems like everytime my team gets load out gets position top ten happens then boom all 4 booted. i get 1 person getting booted...but its becoming the whole team now

First off, great vid! I’m not the best player, but the lobbies are so unstable it’s crazy. Also the ping and matchmaking stuff might be true in theory, but doesn’t seem to actually operate that way. There are moments when a lower level player than me just claps me when I’m hitting chest and they are hitting my toes and shooting circles. There’s just too many instances and inconsistencies to take what they say at face value at this point.

It felt so fckin unnatural and this "stacking of the deck" to decide if u win or lose is exactly why i stopped playing, THIS IS THE PART THEY DONT GET: If ur a bad player and lose alot because of it, you can simply get better, its a goal to aim at and it will feel good when you do, and suddenly you will win more. Thats how it used to be, but the way they pump up ur "mmr" if u win alot in CASUAL multiplayer lobbys these days thats not a solution, so what happens? Well it dosnt matter if ur good or bad cus they just artificially fix your matches anyway, THATS NOT FAIR. If ping really was king then you would eventually lose some matches anyway because of rng but now that is gone its just artificially pumped or slacked lobbys to enforce the "balance" of winning and losing, and i cant fckin strech enough how bad this is because it literally gives you no incentive to keep playing the game and get better because you know you won't get any benefits from it. Might aswell just quit playing then. Not incentivising players to have a goal to reach for in a game will be its downfall eeeevery single time. And i guess they just dont understand that. Take this as an example, communism(in simple terms): If someone works their but off night and day should they earn the same as someone that just sits on their couch doing nothing? I used to win rebirth island back to back. Like “let’s go 4 and 0 to start the night”. Today I played quads with a friend. Our two team mates spent the whole match swimming way out on the edge of the Map. What is this match making guys? I haven’t won a wz in months and barely play anymore. They should allow you to select what the highest ping you'd prefer, or just lock you into not hitting pings more than 2 or 3 times what you would normally get.

what about who’s the party host. if said host player is of a higher skill level then other players in the party. if that effects the level of competition that you are matched vs?

I play with 2 of my buddies s&d..everytime we play we start off with 5/6 wins and then our team gets stocked with Timmy no thumbs or they short our team players and we end up going on epic loss streaks....last night we finished with 12 losses in a row...make it make sense

Question: let’s say I am on winning streak, like a 2 wins, and I decided to back out for a couple of days, would this stop the matchmaking stacking or reset it ?

I hope this would effect in war zone but on multi-player it does not put any game I play is mostly like pro players

I can tell you right now, Warzone 1 (Rebirth Island) was never this bad with match making. My friend and I got on a 16 win streak on Resurgence - Rebirth Island, the only reason we lost was because my power cut out, which backed me out and my I friend was by himself. When Warzone 2 launched, that whole match making system changed and I don’t think we got over 4 wins in a row.

MM should be based solely off connections and nothing else.
