The latency added is from a real frame being wedged between two generated frames, so at 30 fps native, you're only going to be able to render real frames (no DLSS) at 33.3ms, which introduces around 100 ms of latency due to the aforementioned generated frames. If you're able to get 60fps native, that added latency is halved. And if you're using any DLSS at all, you can cut that down even more from 66% (Quality), 58% (Balanced), 50% (Performance), or 33% (Ultra Performance); at 60fps native (120fps cap with frame gen), the DLSS added latency would be negligible.

No it’s not worth it in fps shooters like COD, but maybe in games like Cyberpunk. I’d rather just go DLSS Quality

Do you mean frame generation? Dlss does not equal frame generation. You can use DLSS without having frame generation which means no latency.

Why? It won't be until end of 2025. Why do we need a 5090 when the 4090 is even overkill for 4K? Sweet spot is 4080 for 4K.

@@Gaetano.94i wouldnt call 4080 a "4k gaming card"as it struggles to deliver 60fps+ in recent tiltes. and for pc gaming; im considering atleast 60fps for each game.

@@elinbarrage9638 odd, im using a 4080 at 4k and I regularly get 80-120fps in pretty much all games on ultra. Exception being path traced games or UE5 games like avatar but there isn't ANY card that can play those games maxed out 120fps+

Just because it says DLSS doesn't mean it's automatically frame gen. DLSS 3.5 does not equal FG automatically.

if your monitor caps at 120hz then yeah, people with 240hz monitors would benefit from the extra frames. If your starting FPS is 120 the input lag is pretty negligible with reflex.
