eh, not OP you need weapons capable of capitalizing on the enemy being flipped, they're expensive, large, power-hungry, and a lot of micro to use well, they also exert equal force on you and the enemy so you can flip yourself if you're not careful they are really powerful if used well, but i really would not call them OP

eh, there are things that can beat railkites Railspinners, rail orbiters, and railfan barges typically have a lot more armour and the same range, meaning they outlast the railkites, railspinners will also have a dps advantage. deck cannon bricks and rammers, as well as some of the tankier missile orbiters or ion ships can just take enough volleys that they railkite just runs out of ammo laser orbiters have massive speed, and can theoretically catch up to the vulnerable railkite, though you do need to pilot to spread the rail volleys over your shields

@@ez_theta_z9317 , yes it is true that there are builds that can catch a rail kite, but such builds often give up on reversing speed. That makes them easy to counter. Like an array of nukes or minelayers up front to supplement the rails. Of course it requires some level of piloting skill to land shots with nukes and mines.

@@ez_theta_z9317 , not sure where you got the idea that rail kites can't have other weapons. But any much smaller and agile ship stands a good chance against a rail ship of any size. So it still boils down to size and armour thickness. I can't say I have much experience with PvP, but I can certainly tell you that in PvE, the worst ships to have to fight are those with rails and HE missiles. That they also pack EMP missiles and point defense just makes it harder. Sure, a deck brawler with thick armour works, but that is you have thick armour all around, which translates to lower speed and agility. There is always a trade off.
