David was told by the WBC to activate his mandatory position in March and he went and signed a contract in February to fight at 175 in June. What sense does that make? There’s a difference between being a contender and a mandatory, Jaime Munguia activated his mandatory position right after he knocked out John Ryder. There’s steps one must take to make the fight happen and Benavidez just thought it should get handed to him.
