I'm at Mexican and really not understand the difference between murder and kill but I really like how you teach Pastor Allan

To murder someone is to outright kill them. You wanted that person dead. To kill someone could be the same as murdering them or an accidental death. Getting into a fight and you hit the person on the head and they just drop dead from it. You've killed them, but you didn't intend to do so.

I love you Pastor Alan. I listen to your teaching, more than once daily. But it grieves my heart, to hear you and innocently I might add, lump in a crime like possession of marijuana, that is used medicinally by millions of people across the world for pain management, and a plethora of other mental and physical health benefits. But to hear you lump marijuana possession in with crimes like child pornography does grieve my heart sir😔

I have a question about the blood, since it's the definition of life, it is ok to give others your blood if that can save someone ? Since Jesus came and shredded his blood for us I suppose it's ok but I would like your input Pastor, and some bible verse

Pastor Allen, prostitution is against the law in Las Vegas. Although there's a county north of it that it's considered legal. Just thought you want to know this.

I believe in capital punishment except the way it's handled today in this country. Too many mistakes made.

I agree. It should be done swiftly and humanely, not allow someone to live in the shadow of the noose on death row for many decades.

I don't see how this is under the Noahic (or however it's spelled) covenant when it was said to Moses. Not only that, having an affair was punishable by death and what did Jesus say when the woman was brought to Him and He was questioned about if she should be put to death? Forgiveness was His answer. A chance to change their heart for God. These laws were made at the same time, why should one still be in effect but not the other? Just so you know, there are liberals who are for the death penalty and there are conservatives who are against it. I really like listening to Nolan, but he can be incredibly one sided at times.

The encounter between the alleged adulterer and Jesus always troubled me. As you observed, was the law against adultery not still in effect? I have heard it explained that Jesus refused to condemn the woman as the charge made against her was not in line with Hebrew law. I.e. She should have been accused by a direct witness, not hearsay. But this sounds like a technicality as Jesus would know the truth if she really were guilty. The bible recounts how Jesus first wrote something on the ground before he spoke, yet we don't know what it was. I have yet to hear a proper explanation.

I think Pastor has pointed out, "Thou shalt not murder," for "the punishment for murder is death," can only be applicable TODAY if the Governing authority still deems that murder is punishable by death. (Romans 13:1-5) Because in the Mosaic Law murder was punishable by death, God would therefore condone the same punishment today as a JUST punishment PROVIDED the Governing authority had legislated for it. It's only when the Governing authority legislates in OPPOSITION to God's laws that we can oppose the Governing authorities’ laws and submit to God's HIGHER laws. IE. The Governing authority may legislate that "the maximum penalty for preaching the gospel is death" (which was actually a law enforced during Roman times before Constantine) but God has commanded that the Gospel be preached so, in that instance we submit to God's higher authority. Christianity is responsible for Democratic Governing authorities bringing about a softening of the "Mosaic Laws" which, thank God, is a blessed thing.
