How to ruin Nick Fury in one scene

I call Bull on this simply because that was just a quick little scratch. It might have temporarily blind them for a month at the most, but that did not look it was enough to Cripple him. Before any of you lower life-forms come on my thing commenting about how that is possible, obviously I know that. But it's the fact that in Captain America 2, he said it with the implication that it was a earth human betrayal injury. This is like the reverse of Rick Jones describing how he was involved in the Hulk's creation by saying "I was in the neighborhood."

My eye

Was that cat a type of Rockret Raccoon??? Raccoon loves stealing stuff...there's another scene where the cat spits out the tessaract....which it must've stolen. Plus it was in Fury's office. Secret Spy maybe. He did say he lost his eye cause he trusted someone. Must be the cat.
