I sat in the M8 Competition yesterday. Feels like quality! Interior is hsndsome and intelligently laid out, high tech. Lotsa room for my lanky 6' 4" frame. Seat is very comfortable, and the steering wheel has a lot of tilt and telescope. Haven't checked out the AMG yet.

Race number 4 should be a do over, AMG jumped early yet they still give the win to the Mercedes. BMW is clearly the faster car.

Perhaps run this race under lights and timers . I noticed there was a time delay between hand signal and drivers on a couple of the runs 🤷‍♂️

Race 3 and 4 were fixed. Done in favor of GT63. 3rd race was even worse. M8 pulled and brake. 4th one delayed to launch to even the scores.. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Not a fair race. You should drag race the M8 with Merc GTR. The GT63 is a way too heavier car than M8.

Nice channel. Keep it up. Please include rolling race nex time. Four 'start' races are more likely to give you same results. But a rolling race will actually also show us the real pulling power of the cars and you might see a different outcome.

I used to hate BMWs from the bottom of my heart.... Until we bought an X6.... It's something completly different to sit in car brands like that... The videos don't do them justice. And the M8 looks stunning.

Well the given the fact that the merc is nearly a quarter of a ton heavier, I thought it competed quite well....

Nice competition race. I really like that you ran them multiple times, and had good instrumentation. They were so closely matched, and the AMG was often a hair quicker to 100km/hr, but I would suggest that in the future you should switch drivers between the first two runs and the last two. The AMG driver jumped the gun and/or the M8 driver was slow at the launch, because the M8 was quicker, and probably would have won all races if the starts were equal. As shown by the 1/4 mile times. Still, this contest left me more impressed with the AMG GT than I had been before. I already knew that the M8 was super quick, but the AMG GT63S is so close in performance that a real world victory between the two cars would depend on the drivers.

The two races that the Mercedes took - it launched ahead of time.

The M8 sounds nice beefy and powerful, but the BMW driver overslept the start twice, especially the fourth :) Nevertheless in the end result the BMW is the winner in comparison test. (My personal conclusion) Both are killers and difficult to defeat

I’m a hardcore bmw guy but they need to step up the exhaust game with these v8s. They also already losing on the interior and exterior. We just holding onto performance 🤦🏽‍♂️
