Last ep he had the chance to warn his ally and give him the idol, but he chose not to. This ep he had the chance to use the idol to save himself, but he chose to tell everyone he had one and at tribal council he didn't decide to use it and was eliminated. Hunter was only really good at challenges. But Survivor is much more than that.

Makes no sense. The regret from not playing the idol when you should have is way greater than playing it when you didn’t need to. Hunter blew it.

I honestly cannot believe that Hunter went out with the idol. I thought he was 100% going to play it no matter what even if there is a split vote. There was no point in saving it for one more round when you know you are on the chopping block. I am LOVING Charlie’s winning equity more and more as the season is going on. I also can’t believe he told people that he had his idol before playing it.

I believe that Jeff is truly infatuated with Q. Jeff said on his podcast that he didn't believe that Q tried to quit. But tonight's episode, Q truly admitted that he was willing and wanted to be voted out which means quit!

Players are now focused on making moves to argue why they should win in the end rather than focusing on making the actual best decisions that increase their chance to get to the end. I'm a firm believer that you get to the end first and then let the jury decide. People are deciding in their heads what the jury wants and even if it's not the optimal move for their chances to make it to the end, they do it to have a talking point.

With love, the comedic irony of the “some people just have the winner factor to them” and the next topic being how Rob was willing to do mental gymnastics to justify Q’s move from last week was very funny! This is what Liz is worried about!!!

I’d love for Charlie and Maria to face some adversity.

I think in a collaborative game like Survivor, it’s less about who you vote out and more about how. Some players can make the smallest of moves and still be in a good position because of the way they are perceived. The game is more about the day to day perception that you are cultivating in your relationships. Too many players get consumed with making a big move to the detriment of their game. We see Kenzie turn on her number one purely for the sake of a BIG MOVE. That seems like an exceedingly poor reason to vote someone out. It is like gouging out your eyes to make your hearing better. And Maria was immediately concerned with Kenzie being the one to do the plan. Charlie had the complete right idea: follow Kenzie’s plan and use her as a shield. That shows much more strategy and awareness of how modern Survivor is actually won. Not just the flash in the pan of a big move.

The funniest part of this season is watching the 6 fall apart one by one because they keep attacking their own. 😂Weirdest strategic non strategy game play ever.

PLAYERS ON SURVIVOR DON'T TELL ANYONE EVER YOU HAVE AN IDOL. Sorry for the caps but it must be said. They are keeping Q because they don't think he can win at the in the end. Hunter and everyone, always follow your instincts, because they are usually right. Venus was on the beach with Q and Hunter at beginning of show so that should have told everyone watching that the votes would be between those two. Venus lives in the six, T.O. reference l o l.

Cassidy is cool and all but not the most in depth exchanges. It was very surface level with Rob getting a lot of well I don't know...what do you think. For the Survivor Knows it All, these are my questions: 1. Why weren't we shown Kenzie being told about the Six alliance? Did she always know about it from Tiff? Was Tiff really serious on the Six since she was offy on Maria? I think early in the show we saw Kenzie was ready to turn on Tiff & Q with Jess/Banu but they weren't down. We thought Kenzie had a path deeper in the game with her Tiff bond. Was it the idol being known on Tiff and her being a stray or her sour on the Six alliance or this was always going to be a move for Kenzie? 2. If Tiff works her idol next episode, who is the next juicy target to the remaining players? Q is now in Goat territory. Venus and Liz are questionables. Maria/Charlie would take the lead here unless someone calls out their strength.

When Hunter said he was playing the idol 100% in his confessional, I KNEW he wouldn't play it. He also told the wrong people that he had it. Once you tell that many people that you have an idol, there's no point in keeping it. I don't understand the move at all. Keeping it when people know you have it and you KNOW your name is being thrown out is just stupid.

Tiffany is MOTHERRRR! The fact that she still has Idolisha, that she effortlessly shifted the target off of her back for this week, and will now (likely) find out that Kenzie threw her name out and can still make it past next week even if she doesn't win Immunity (or if others are gunning for her) is great. There's no way she's not going to play the idol next week after Hunter went out like that. She already told us she trusts nobody so I don't see her holding on to that idol any longer, especially because now that Hunter is gone one will be rehidden and once she plays hers, she's safe and has a 1/4 chance to find it again. Based on scenes from next week, Maria is trying to get in her big breakout move and I don't really see Charlie being down with her making Q her #1, which is what it looks like she's proposing. I have the feeling that if he finds out, Charlie isn't going to like this and will recognize he needs to turn on Maria sooner rather than later, and he may work with Tiff to do just that. I also wonder if there's a chance for repair between Tiff and Q.... If they can can set their emotions aside and they potentially work together to vote out Maria, or Kenzie or if it's just completely done betwen them. also let us rejoice that Queen Venus still reigns supreme!

I think people forgot that Tiff said she’d play her idol IF Hunter played his. Clearly they all agreed that Hunter was a challenge threat & decided to try to flush his idol instead of Tiff’s. Tiff lowered her threat level while Hunter did not.

Two polarizing type of viewers: The one one that want a linear game, the ´´best`` one wins (according to to predictable skills) and blindseds only on specific contestants and those are not happy about this season. But for those that like a unpredictable game, wildcards contestants, and have be missing tribals on new era that have more confrontation, those are having a bless and count me on this side. A Hunter made some big mistakes. First: Announce about his idol. Second: Keeping asking and show desperation during the tribal about the votes. That was a clear sign that he was taking the risk and wouldnt play his Idol and off course others woudnt miss the chance to take a challenge beast with an Idol on his pocket.

Liz voted for Q on the revote, and stated prior to it that she wasn't changing her vote.

Is there something with the new era about not playing idols correctly? It seems like everyone either holds onto it when they clearly should play it or they give it away. Like Last season, Bruce went on a immunity run, but he didn't play his idol because he trusted his rival. Now Hunter is clearly the big threat, and he trusts who? Venus , Kenzie, and Q? Bruce and Hunter didn't have reliable alliance members, were physical threats, and didn't play their idols? Why? Why are they so trusting?

What is it with these new era players refusal to play their hidden idols that are already public knowledge?

If you don’t play your idol on the first vote, are you prohibited from playing it on the re-vote?

It's worth noting that like the thing that caused the most chaos and probably tricked hunter.The most is tiff just going after q. Say I don't know if q was in on it I do think. That Tiff. Chose to go after q knowing she could cause confusion.. And if that is the case that would show Q And Tiff essentially doing the exact same thing, making a big social move in order to cause distraction and confusion and chaos and get the outcome.They wanted. Tiff did it well and Q did not Tomorrow from my other fandom I think it's teffy time

I think that in Hunter revealing his idol, he put more of the focus on himself ..and it was his primary allies (besides Q) who voted him off

Its crazy that Venus is still in the game and Im glad for her, but my God, could the girl try to pull in some people and try with a social game? Every time there's a chance for her to do so, she would rather rub it in their face. Honestly though, its very slim on social players this season.

Rob was right on with Hunter but so off with Q. I was very much the same. Hunter came off like a nervous & very green player when it came to strategy but most confident in physical. I tried to reason Q last week but I think I was a quarter right lol. He knew his butt was going to get crazy backlash on that Tiff situation. Boy was he right. The wrath of Tiff was no joke. I did think he was trying escape that fallout and cause chaos to repair things but not actually leave the game. He said take responsibility for someone's game going bad so I do wonder if he meant Tiff because Tevin doesn't make sense here. They were gunning for Tevin outside of him. He didn't put Tevin's name out there. Despite them fighting now, I do wonder if he saw Tiff like his lil sister and he messed her up big time by exposing her idol and revealing to Maria she wanted her out. She has a strong duo gunning for her now with no secret idol.

Does this make Charlie the challenge beast now? He was usually competing with hunter at the end of challenges.

No one else might have noticed this but Hunter made a dumb mistake not playing his idol.

Am I the only one who doesn't love the Taran cameos at the end of these episodes? I know they do it to promote the BBCAN episodes which drop right after, but it always seems to throw off the guest and makes the end of the discussion kind of clunky. I love Taran and the BB coverage but week after week I keep thinking the interactions just feel super awkward and forced.

Here's the thing I don't think Charlie and Maria are in as good as spot as people think I mean if you look at it they might have Kenzie but they might not have her now because they were so flaky when Tiff was really bluffing playing her idol it was kind of obvious because she was so obvious about the fact that she was going to play it that she was really bluffing so I think that they're now in a really bad spot because if Kenzie doesn't think she can work with them because they're flaky then Kenzie's just going to go back to Tiff who now has Kenzie Venus Liz Ben so those five can just take it down to the final five I mean if I'm Tiff that's a great final five I can use my adult five I can maybe use it to get out Kenzie I'm done there with Venus Liz and Ben I can probably definitely win an immunity challenge and/or fire and that's it she gets there with Venus and Ben she wins or even Liz and Ben so I just think this was a terrible move by Charlie and Maria they let the fact that Tiff was being so obvious about using her idol to scare them into doing a move that was not good for them I know Hunter was a threat but he was so willing to work with anyone because he had no one now they're the ones who have no one they have no idol they don't have any real allies because they've alienated Ben and I just think they're probably going to go out next if one of them doesn't want immunity I think the other one's going to go out next they're not going to waste the vote on q they prove that tonight and Tiff is already mentioned Maria's name once what's not to do it again so they're not that much under the radar or at least Maria isn't

Finally! A new era player I actually want to hear from.

Yeah Hunter had zero game play. He didn’t want to scheme and outwit ppl, and he didn’t know how to wield his idol power correctly. He can outlast ppl in challenges but he can’t outwit & outplay ppl. He wasn’t fully playing the game of survivor & so he was snuffed.

Why do ppl keep telling other ppl about their idols? lol I understand it has its advantages sometimes but majority of the time it’s more powerful if it’s unknown. Like PLEASE stop lol Also, hunter was crazy to not play his idol. He was public enemy #1 and he had to know that. He got ahead of himself and needed to just worry abt surviving one more tribal at a time. A lot of ppl have shot themselves in the foot this season unfortunately.

Hot take. I don’t hate hunter not using the idol here. If I was in the game and not watching the show I would honestly expect it to be Q(it almost was)but if hunter was the one to vote Ben then big misplay.
